Best demo recording @millercarbon,"Technically it is the system that makes the recordings shine. Or should be."We know that plainly isn’t the case. Not even technically. Au contraire mon frere, it is precisely the case, technically and in every other way. High fideli...
Re-issue, CD, SACD, Tape....LP....and what studio tapes are being used.... the original pressings are the most desirable, sonically and marketwise. And the Hot Stampers (the best of the original pressings) are the most desirable of all.
A full range speaker? no driver moves anywhere near the distances you describe in generating that, so I think you mean distance time delay, and not pressure level peaks. Good one. https://youtu.be/zt_HteJLY3A?t=73
Help! New TT skipping badly.... I was going to say Townshend Platform until "don’t want to spend money" at which point we are SOL. Even a sand box costs money! Your answer is springs. The other stuff you are doing, no amount of cork or sorbothane ever gonna fix this. Nobsound sp...
My Apologies to Miller Carbon With enough of the stuff you are using everything becomes great.
Townshend Audio Podiums: The Full Review Excellent! When the ringing and resonance are gone it is a lot easier to hear all the little differences between the instruments, isn't it? I haven't used bars but can only imagine you are hearing what I'm hearing with Podiums and Pods. Pretty goo...

Best demo recording Technically it is the system that makes the recordings shine. Or should be. But I get your drift, and with Roxy Music we are off to a good start. Sinatra-Basie for incredible vocal presence. Jennifer Warnes The Well (the limited 45) for incre...
Phono cartridge torque wrench I think the torque would definitely make a difference on a resolving system. Ding! Ding! Ding! Winner winner, chicken dinner!
Put fun back into Hometheater+Music Music and Movies are fun, they remind us we are human and we love entertainment. Im not sure where this idea got derailed and became so serious and jaded. I hear the points of view in their insulting manner, in their very narrow points of view and...
My Apologies to Miller Carbon oregonpapa, Did the same as you Frank, only I used a BDR Shelf on top of my Moabs. The combination of the Shelf on top with the speaker on Podiums (and everything else ;) really kicks em up a notch. Mahgister does the same too of course. Only h...
Put fun back into Hometheater+Music Word salad?
Phono cartridge torque wrench Porsche has been making these centerlocking hubs for years now. Standard on some models like Turbo they are a no-cost option on others. They are pro and con, the main con being having to carry around this giant torque wrench on trips or risk being... |
