Looking to get my first amp, speakers and turntabl
I owned both a Rotel RA 1062 and a Bryston B60sst. The price differnce is definatley worth it. The Rotel is a very good mid-fi integrated. The Bryston is more refined, has better dynamics, has a 20 year warranty... Both amps work well with B&W...
Best amp for 6 ohms speakers
Those speakers are 89db sensitive so they should be pretty easy to drive. Are you looking for a power amp or integrated amp?
New speakers for an old receiver
I own a couple of vintage receivers/amps and have good luck with both Paradigm and B&W monitors. The paradigms are easier to drive so that would be my first choice.
Tube Dealer Recommendation
Brent Jesse has helped me a couple of times and I have been very pleased with his suggestions and quality of tubes.
Nakamichi sr-4a, vs. Yamaha A-S500
Agree with Yogiboy, your Stasis reciever is a keeper unless you are going to spend alot more money.
Amp recommendation for Klipsch Heresy
Maybe a Musical Paradise MP301 if you want tubes. Self-biasing, enough power, good reviews, $400....
Amp recommendation for Klipsch Heresy
If you can find a nice Nakamichi Stasis amp or Receiver that would be my choice. Plenty of info online. Audiokarma mbrs are pretty high on the Sansui AU series also with Klipsch...
Sound issues
Jafant is correct. The monster surge protector needs to go!!!
Meadowlark Kestrel question?
Thanks for the input. I am going to demo them this weekend and the seller said I could bring my amp :)
Is anyone using PCL82 tubes?
I'll take a look at head-fi. I have a Vista Audio SET amp that is sensitive to tube rolling. I like Raytheon and RCA so far, but would really like to try more because they are pretty cheap to experiment with.
When did you start to love music and why?
Started playing piano and drums when I was 12 and grew up in a home that had a Vintage Pioneer "SPEC" system. Loved music and hi-fi ever since!
Looking for a CD player
Mental, I understand you concern but please... I answered the posters question as I should have, accurately. If you would like to elaborate on every posters questions, feel free. But please understand the poster is asking a specific question most ...
Looking for a CD player
You are correct in using the co-ax connection, and Cardas makes a fine digital cable...
Need more outlets
I use the NAIM power strip and it works awesome!
My Music Hall CD 25 just died
I agree with Rar1. The Marantz 6004 is an excellent cdp for the money and carries a 3 year warranty.
