Soundstaging and Imaging: The Delusion about The Illusion
Mg opens the door, steps in and hears someone calling produced music "Parlor Tricks" then Mg quietly backs out of this clubhouse to find a place with listeners exploring recordings. LOL
Soundstaging and Imaging: The Delusion about The Illusion
"Two legs, two arms, two eyes and two ears...yet one brain having two hemispheres that are cross-wired for interpreting sound. Go figure mono might have been the ideal sonic reproductive medium rejected by those who apparently knew better. And tho...
Is There a Speaker for Me/Impossible Requirements? (budget: $2000)
"Your room is too small. Get a larger room!" Some of my favorite listening rooms are that size, with the right type of walls. No room treatment, now that's a little off. I wouldn't recommend dampening the room but I would certainly tune it. mg
Speaker With Least Room Interaction
http://www.michaelgreenaudio.net/roomtune http://www.michaelgreenaudio.net/tunable-speakers Your room is your speaker and your speakers are your room. Once you tune your recordings, speakers and your room to your ears problem solved. Removing your...
Do any of your Rolling Stones recordings bring "Satisfaction"?

"Stereo reproduction is an enigma by default."I don't find stereo enigmatic at all."If we have two ears to detect true sound imaging and soundstage, then by default we are deluding ourselves in believing that reproduced sound is a facsimile of the...

We have two ears, we have two eyes, two legs, two arms. We are creatures of stereo by design. We listen in stereo regardless of what our "audio system" produce. Reading stereo is an illusion is almost weird to me seeing we are wired in stereo."we ...

Beware of the cable claiming long burn in period.
Hi durknThanks for sharing your comments. Internet trolls have no place on these forums, they are in need of a life. I've done documented breakin for over 3 weeks non-stop playing of the same recording. I've been doing this style of breakin and re...
Cd's to make a come back in the future?
For my type of listening, I’m a Redbook forever! Long live the repeat button :)mg
Beware of the cable claiming long burn in period.
"I wouldn't want to purchase a cable that required 500 hours of use just as I hate it that so many speakers require 100s of hours to break in"HEA probably shouldn't have stuck it's nose into physics to begin with. It's a weird little hobby full of...
Vinyl***What If***
Yes, inna got my meaning. thanksWhatever source I choose to use I make a system that has only one input. I have other systems as well but my serious ones I try to avoid the extras, even if they are not in use "everything affects everything else". mg
We are buying and reviewing gear all wrong
Different hobbies exist inside of this great lifestyle. We all have our own hobby inside of the hobbies. I feel that there has always been plenty to go around in which ever specific part of the music lifestyle we choose to explore. From pushing a ...
