Should I change speaker cables?
I second Elinor's recommendation, but would add that their advice as to which cables to use has been outstanding too!
Food for thought/Opinions please
I suspect that pop culture doesn't define as large a portion of the real world as the various media would have us believe. I'm once again in the neighborhood where I grew up, and there are two more stations playing classical music available on my ...

Speaker Bass Reduction
Stehno - In my opinion, If you have to be told specifically that what I write is my opinion then you probably have to be told way too many other obvious things for a communication thread sufficient to your peculiar needs to be of any interest to t...
Triumph
Yes British sportcars are high achievements in the mechanical world with first rate comfort and reliability. All in all there's nothing better than a Britih sports car for me to poop on.
Speaker Bass Reduction
Strictly speaking that doesn't reduce bass. Move the speakers around horizontally and vertically, try them against other walls. Try putting reflective material in the corners of your room. If all else failes get some high pass filters
The tweeter on my speaker has a crater...Help
Am I the only one to pop a dome back out with my lips? I suggest swabbing them with a bit of bourbon first to make sure there are no oils to transfer, then a friendly peck on the cheek of your tweeter and order is restored!
Shakti Stones - How to arrange them?
I can attest that the effect is not subtle with either the Krell KAV 300i or the Creek 5350 SE when the Shakti stones are placed over the transformer. If you have the opportunity to hear for yourself sometime Roskoe, you'll know.
Please help an aging, music deprived mom
I would second the idea of a used Luxman tuner, I had a T115 and thought the sound was great, and I've seen them for under $250 . I also second the concept of a Classik, while on remote assignment I used one of those for a year and was very well p...
To hear what the microphones heard?
Limited to aural considerations only, I like listening to recorded music through my system more than the majority of my live experiences. I think the goal of the whole music reproduction continuum is to please me in my living room, or my car. It w...
Speakers for Creek 5230SE Int. Amp.
I would recommend Silverline SR 11. I am using the SR 17's with my 5350 but a pair of SR 11's sounded fine when I had them in the system.
Are smaller high end speakers really better
I'm beginning to see this hobby like wine tasting. You sample all the expensive stuff to learn your own tastes, then the goal is to satisfy youself for the fewest bucks.Congrats on your good find.
Speakers and Stands. What do you use between them?
I go the other way. I use Aurios to decouple my Silverline monitors from my Osiris stands. It opens up the soundstage incredibly. There's no way to think why this should work, it just does - try it if you get the chance and see.
Can a manufacturer post replies & discussions?
I would also hope that you do name products as well as discuss theories and science. I am confident that most uf us can make up our own minds about purchases even with manufacturers input. It's a rare post indeed which doesn't mention a product. I...
Question re Celtic/Irish/Chieftains music
I hope you don't stop at two. I've been smitten by Irish music for tha last couple of years, and have been adding to my collection about 1 out of 5 purchases since. One two-disc set I particularly enjoy is "Joyful Noise," it is a collection of art...
