Yamaha NS1000M Reliability I owned these for 5 years in the early '80s and had no trouble with them. Sold them for more than I originally paid. I've never read reports of them being easy to overload. They were very well made. A fine loudspeaker.Regards,
What is the best sounding CD Changer. Used OK?How about a used Sony SCD-C333ES? Originally priced at $1200, Sony later dropped the price to $600 when they had stopped production and then Good Guys cleared them for $400. (I bought a demo model for $330).If someone is selling one of the...
Springsteen "Live in Hyde Park" dvd My favourite CD version of "Darkness" is the Columbia CK 35318 made in Japan. If only Springsteen's latest CDs sounded like this one, I'd be a happy man. Regards,
Springsteen "Live in Hyde Park" dvd Ah, I should have checked. I was referring to the two most recent Springsteen releases and I meant "Magic" and "Working on a Dream". Sorry. Thanks for picking me up.Regards,
Springsteen "Live in Hyde Park" dvd a 60 year old man with nothing left to proveI wish he had asserted himself more along those lines when his record company produced "The Rising" and "Magic" for him, and he heard what it sounded like. Great music, crappy sound. Regards,
NOS Western Electric wire used for power cables?? The blatant advertisng annoyed me more than anything. I enjoyed the back and forth but did not need the excessive commercial breaks.Perhaps, as Fuzzbutt17 has claimed, he lacks forum experience. Disappointing Elton John CDs? Get the old CDs - they sound great. The UK DJM CDs are highly regarded, and you can find them in used CD shops. Original MCAs are also fine. I'm not a fan of modern remastered CDs.The "Elton John" SACD is nice too, if you can play Super Audio CDs....
Amazing ''Overachieving'' products...your pick? I don't know about amazing, but it's very good - the Sony SCD-XA5400ES. In standard form it is almost the equal of my much modified (by Ric Schultz) Sony XA777ES - which was $1900 plus $1500 mods. The Sony is $1500 from Crutchfield, although there...

gold discs - doors Audio Fidelity only did one - "Soft Parade" AFZ 038. DCC did all the other Doors albums. The DCCs are splendid, but the Audio Fidelity album has had mixed reviews. Regards,

TAD Reference loudspeakers-How good are they? Very expensive to be sure, but I think the big ones are among the finest speakers made. At the recent Munich High End, I like the TAD room the most, in front of the Tidal, Soulution, YG etc. rooms. Just my opinion, of course.A slide show from Muni... |
