the Dunlavy woofers/cabinet enclosures are highly dampened and thus are very easily controlled by tubes or any amplifier. 
What happens to speakers over time?
worse if anything. Capacitors eventually lose their charge holding abilities and foam speaker surrounds always eventually rot and need refoamed

yes into tubes amplifiers I haven't had a solid state amplifier for years. It works with either type I'm sure. 
Tube power amp - keep on continually?
Sean can you explain cool down time before shutting the amplifier off? Like how long to wait? Never heard about this before? Would this apply to a class A triode tube amplifier also?
