What is the missing element? I'm certainly open to it if it will give better performance. I can't seem to find any jitter measurements on it though and see several reviews of it's s/pdif output being bested by usb converters such as the audiophilleo.
What is the missing element? Thanks for the info. I'll definitely look into upgrading my usb converter first. I've played around with comparing wav and flac but at this point I can't hear any difference. Who knows, that may change once I get the jitter under control.
What is the missing element? I forgot to mention, I am using flac files through Jriver in wasapi mode.
What is the missing element? I've read that the v-link 192 is much much better than the first generation in terms of Jitter measurements. One review shows it to be anywhere from 20ps to 160ps. Still way ahead of the nearly 400ps of the v-link I. I have read several sources th...
Ready to upgrade from the Jolida JD1501 I have no doubts that the the rouge could deliver on performance but I'm more concerned with burning through the tubes more quickly with excessive movie watching or game play on top of actually listening to music.
Ready to upgrade from the Jolida JD1501 @Finsup Maybe I am just hearing the speakers limitations. I suspected the amplifier because a common complaint or critique of the JD1501 is that its quite musical but not very revealing. After seeing that stated several places, I began to suspect ...
LS50s and room size I had/have the Vandersteen 1Bs. Not sure how they compare to the 1Cs but between the KEFs, the difference is night and day. In just about every way, the KEFs are a vast improvement. I was specifically referring to the bass when I mentioned the van...
LS50s and room size @Jedinite24. My basement office is exactly where I have mine setup and the dimensions are pretty similar. I am very happy with the sound. These speakers do an amazing job of sounding very big. I was blown away by how much bass they actually put ou...
Ready to upgrade from the Jolida JD1501 Don't get me wrong the Jolida sounds amazing with the KEFs. I just have that nagging feeling it could still be better. Maybe is just a case of upgraditis. It is fantastic as long as the music isn't doing anything too daring, but the moment the mus...
Ready to upgrade from the Jolida JD1501 I will definitely look into the H200. It sounds very interesting!
Ready to upgrade from the Jolida JD1501 Also considering the Vincent sv236mk. Similar concept as the jolida but with more power and the first ten watts delivered as class a. Michael fremer over at stereophile raved about it.
LS50s and room size Just wanted to update that I did pick up the LS50s and could not be happier. These things sound amazing and my initial concerns were all eliminated with moments of hooking them up. My system has never sounded so good!
How do I connect my sub to a miniwatt N3 I haven't heard it personally, though I have read reviews where it was paired with less efficient speakers and did fine. I plan on getting some much more efficient speakers after I have saved up a bit and figured out what I want. Still, I consider...
How do I connect my sub to a miniwatt N3 You mean using a separate y adapter for each channel? Wow that is so simple I can't believe I hadn't thought of that. Damn.... Anyway, yes it is a powered sub. |
