Newbie question concerning connections
I have to agree with johnmark101. Choosing between the 2 is a very personal choice. We all like different things. That said, I'll give you some info that may help. People buy the Jolida because of the dac. There's not that many tube dacs/cd player...

" what about a NuPrime bridgeable STA-9 ??"That's not a bad idea. I'm not a huge fan of Class D myself, but they should work fine as a temp amp. Cable Company sells them and has demo's to lend out. They sent me some to try a few years ago.
Bowers&Wilkins ASW675 10" Sub, blown driver. Can't find anyone to repair it.
" Does anyone out there know of someone that might be able to help?"You're dealer. They should be handling stuff like this even if the speaker is out of warranty. If you take the driver out and find that its not soldered, you can just replace it y...

" The amp you show in the pic is a GX7 from the QSC site "images" and made me wonder…hmmm...seriously…an under $300, 400 plus watts per side pro amp made in the USA? "All of the GX's are made in the same factory and are the same size. The same cas...
My journey to search for standmount bookshelf speakers...
If you can find a used pair of DeVore 3XL or ProAc Responce, you will probably like them. Personally, I would get a different amp first. Any of the speakers you've already tried would sound much better with something like an Ayre CX-7.
Is a Step-up Transformer needed?
Dear Thuchan, Do you have some general criteria for SUT's use?Should they be used by all LOMC or is the output not relevant? An SUT (Some call them Head Amps) are needed if your phono stage doesn't have enough gain to deal with a low output cartri...

No one ever bets money with me, so here's the info. "QSC expertise is also evident in its advanced manufacturing and quality control processes. The company manufactures in its 81,000 square foot, state-of-the-art facility, located in Costa Mesa, ...

" and it’s NOT made in the USA (China) which is why it’s so inexpensive."Would you like to put some money on that?
Rega p3 and Yamaha AS1100
If you haven't already, try the MM setting on the back of the amp.
What is more accurate , the fozgometer or the diplay of the oscilloscoop
" My now retired piano tuner did everything by ear and he did an awesome job.  My current (younger aged) piano tuner does everything with electronic instruments with equally good results.  Moral of the story, today's electronic instruments have th...
Newbie question concerning connections
" I currently have it connected to my Anthem MRX-310 receiver via the analog output. If I understand correctly, this way the D/A conversion is handled by the chip set in the Jolida and is passed through the receiver with little processing."Correct...
Question for Amp Designers
" But the OP has said both in this thread. In his initial post that posed the question and then with his own observations....I’ve heard it with my own amps. I have 3 systems in my house and for some strange reason I Iike to swap out pieces to hear...
What is more accurate , the fozgometer or the diplay of the oscilloscoop
Doing it by ear sounds like a good idea, but I would only do it as a last resort. First, it requires a fair amount of experience and practice to get good at it. Its far easier and faster for someone who's never done it before to just use a DMM. As...
