What's your favorite lyric from a song?
Roxy54-You are probabaly right. However, my version sounds pretty good when I sing it in the shower channeling Jim Morrison as much as possible!

Hoodoo Gurus suggestion
Great choice. You will enjoy both of them. Another one of my favorite bands from "down under" that has yet to be mentioned here is Hunters and Collectors- great edgy guitar combined with a brass section including french horns. Human Frailty is pro...
Supertramp
My favorite is Crime of the Century. I think Supertramp got a little overexposed later in their career. That being said, their first few albums stand the test of time and Paris captures a lot of that spirit.
Favorite Genesis Tracks?
I enjoy Squonk and I know What I like from "Seconds Out".

Rickie Lee Jones has some excellent live cd's available on her website. I purchased 'Live in Portland" a few years ago. It has a great version of "Low Spark of High Heeled Boys" on it.

Sounds like a great cultural treat. Rikie Lee Jones is one of my favorites. She has a new album coming out Sept. 18th. It is a collection of covers produced by Ben Harper called "Devil May Know".
Aimee Mann 'Charmer'
Thanks for the heads up. I thought that "@#%&! Smilers" was great. I look forward to her new release.
Depeche Mode and R.E.M
I have been a REM fan from the beginning and the previous comments are good suggestions. I remember seeing them open for the Swimming Pool Q's in 1980 and thinking that they were going to be big someday despite the lead singer dancing like he was ...
