looking for an appropriate cd for my system
I do not think you want to look at the Arcam or Rotel based on your wants (neither are warm/laidback). As mentioned, the Rega would work very well. FYI - it is top loading, which may be an issue for some. Also, look at the Music Hall CD25, which i...
very strange hum from int. amp ....
I have the same problem. My Creek amp hums when I turn a halogen lamp on that is on the same circuit. Loudly when lamp is on "high" setting, less so when on the lower setting. From my understanding, toroidal (sp?) transformers are quite sensitive ...

Question re: Creek 5350SE
I have the Creek and have been very pleased with it. While being a very smooth, neutral amp (w/very good detail), I agree with Bigtee, the Creek is on the laid back side.
Newbie needs cabling HELP.
Just to add to my previous post. The A.P. IC match for the speaker cables would be the Copper Oval.
Best CD player under $500 used?
I say the Music Hall CD25 has to be considered. Very good redbook playback and also has HDCD to boot (which sounds wonderful). Turn it up a notch with the addition of an aftermarket PC. Bamm!

Analysis Plus Oval 12. has both qualities you want. Nordost, from my understanding, is not warm. Not sure about Kimber.
blue circle power cables
I agree with Sugarbrie, the Blue Circles represent very good value. I have a BC62 on my amp. I have also used the BC61 and it works very well on a CDP. Neutral with very good dynamics.Regards,

I have been contemplating the same. My intial thoughts were to get a better CDP that has HDCD capability or get a very nice DAC that upsamples regular CD's. That way, if I want HDCD playback I have my CDP with HDCD (unhook the DAC) and if I want b...
Review: Paradigm 9se mkIII Speaker
I have owned 5SE mkIII's for about 8-9 years and have been very happy with them. I would say they are a well built, musical speaker with great bass, especially if bi-wired. They do lack in ultimate detail though. Not sure about the new models, the...
Whats the best used tuner for under 1000
GO TO THE TUNER INFORMATION WEBSITE INDICATED ABOVE AND READ!Tuners are just like any other component, they all sound different, have good/bad qualities, and people each have their own favorite (as indicated above). Soundwise for example, the Sans...

Ther is also a Kimber PK14 Gold for sale right now. If you like the PK10, why not the 14 for the CDP?Matty
