Sacd/dvd-a, The Hype Is Dead, For Me At Least... Maybe this is Why Y2K never really happened, it has something to do with SACD vs. CD? Myths and audio legends... Who knows(man I hope people do not take this all seriously)
Sacd/dvd-a, The Hype Is Dead, For Me At Least... Yeah, there will always be decisions on all types of things. Formats, equipment, what is necessary what is not. But after about 6 years and nobody changing from Recording in the standard PCM to DSD in general and taking a chance on putting out pur...
A question for the Pro's in setting up analog good I talked with Walker via your link, and his best advice(the guy on the phone) is to set the table at 1.5 vtf and go parallel with the VTA to the cart. and table if that is the tables recommended manual spec, let it play for a whole album, then adj...
A question for the Pro's in setting up analog good Ahh, that link is very good, thing is I think my cart. only has one setting listed not a range, it just states 1.5g, not 1.5-1.8g or anything like that so I guess just get it set a 1.5g period right? Thanks
A question for the Pro's in setting up analog good Sounds good, thats basically what I was looking for.. I plan to keep it simple, so 1.6g tops is the kinda thing I was looking for. Vta I will run it level as possible and then simply adjust the tracking weight when its in position of its final vta...

I'm Stuck, MMF9 vs. MMF7 vs. Scout vs. Space deck Yeah with the cat She loves to play with things, and I know that the pretty spinning disc will have her right there watching and possibly batting, or putting a paw on the album in an attempt to stop it and stare if you know what I mean. Thanks for...
I'm Stuck, MMF9 vs. MMF7 vs. Scout vs. Space deck Okay, I like to keep things simple so I have just made a deal on a excellent used MMF7 with no Cart. about 440 for the table seems pretty damn good at about 2 years old, So I am going for that, the VPI is nice but again at about 1/3 the cost used ...
Best Used $1,200 Table Arm Combo? Ozzy 62, I see a couple space decks but with no arm? looks like you would be in the 2000.00 range if they did have it, so its a bit out of the 1200.00 range. thanks
Need help, Have a new Phono stage need to set it. Oh and my cart. is 47k, and 100pf, 4.5mv... so what would be the difference setting it at 50k vs. 500k? What will the additional impeadance effect in the way of sound?
Need help, Have a new Phono stage need to set it. Thats my exact thought of getting it close to the CD difference in volume... I think I can go with about 45db safely, thats about 6db higher than my current phono stage which in comparison to the CD output is noticeably lower, so 6db should give a...
