Best integrated for my purposes - help me choose 1 of 3!
I appreciate all the suggestions and detours :).  It's a great time to be an audiophile.  There are so many choices out there.  Just wanted to update the thread -- the Hint6 is enroute!  Ultimately, it checks all the boxes and is probably the easi...
Best integrated for my purposes - help me choose 1 of 3!
To answer a couple questions:Tubes...  I'm all for tubes but only in specific applications.  I've been building guitar tube amps for the past 10 years all PTP.  I've yet to cross over into HiFi building (save for a bottlehead headphone amp kit).  ...

Thanks everyone,HT bypass is a convenient feature for WAF that's all - kids too.  Its not that high up on the list tbh, and I would't want to compromise 2-channel listening.  But it would make for a nice and tidy setup.  @millercarbon: I agree, i'...
Optimizing HT setup for Analog: Where to begin?
Just curious - will the Phono stage in some of the integrates be better than the puffin?  Parasound P6, Peachtree Nova150/300/500, etc.  And also, what's the difference between HT Bypass and a good 2amp/1speaker switchbox?  Aren't these functional...
Optimizing HT setup for Analog: Where to begin?
Greg - on the TT setup:  I have both the AT440/OCC and Denon DL-110 cart that I swap out.  I upgraded the feet a while back too.  The puffin is interesting with it's analog -> dsp -> analog processing.  In the end though, I don't really like...
Optimizing HT setup for Analog: Where to begin?
Excellent! ...and here I thought this would be a difficult question to answer! HT bypass - I’ll read up on this. I didn’t know it was a thing. fwiw, I do run the AVR in 2 channel mode on "pure bypass" which is a setting that removes the digital pr...
Anyone have a fully upgraded KAB 1200?
Just wanted to update everyone.  I received the outboard power supply and strobe disabler this week and did the upgrade last night.  Sound report?  Definitely an improvement and noticeable change.  It's difficult for me to describe specifics let a...
Others like QRP?
Googled:PallasRecord Industry (?)RTIDoesn't QRP do whole process:  original masters -> (remastering) -> cut -> pressI don't know enough about the whole process to understand if others are in the same league as QRP.
Anyone have a fully upgraded KAB 1200?
OP here -- I've done all the upgrades advised in the thread.  Only thing left is the power supply.  The best thing IMO about the 1200 is its DIY upgrade path.  I've done all the mods myself - tone arm rewire, lidz rca, wax spindle base, new spindl...

LS50 + Amp Power
b_limo -- ur right, sorry man. I didn’t point out earlier that I have the Ls50s now. I’ve run them through the pioneer for the last 4 years. Truth is, ur right again -- the reviews tell the story. I’ve read most of them always wondering if my AVR ...
LS50 + Amp Power
LoL.  Is this where we're headed?!  Nose down to "$300 AVR"  "cheaper gear", "You need to spend atleast $5k in gear".  C'mon this isn't in the spirit of why were all here... Seriously though, just looking for a budget minded solution to a problem ...
LS50 + Amp Power
I have a 6ohm impedence on my amp, wondering if I could use that with the LS50s?Continuous Power Output (1 kHz, 6 Ω, 1.0 %) Front . . 150 W + 150 W
LS50 + Amp Power
These are great recommendations, but my budget isn't quite there.  Emotiva or Outlaw are under 1k which is where i'd like to stay.  This includes possibly even going with a new AVR (stretching the budget a bit).I'm mostly happy with the AVR I have...
Anyone have a fully upgraded KAB 1200?
Hmm.  Nobody?  Well then, I have the power supply + strobe disabler coming.  I couldn't resist - it's the last ToDo.  I already have the DC-1200 installed from a few years ago - my expectation is that this took care of alot of the noise.  We'll see!
