Yeah, polishing a turd...I can't make a judgement on that case unless I can have a chance to listen not just basing on general rule of thumb about belt drive v.s. DD.I also tend to believe to TWL as to the analogue expert that this deck is quite d...
Where is the best place to store electronic parts?
Forgot to mention that there was either the surge but I'd rather suspect due to te bad coupling capacitor the bias current increased to dramatic levels and burned PC-board along with the signal leads. That pushed me to implement modifications on bo...
Where is the best place to store electronic parts?
I have VTL MB100 and I did change the diode rectifiers to IXYS bridges for main and bias supplies;Caddock power-dropping resistors instead of stock ones;Black Gate electro by-pass and Cathode de-couplers; Relcap RTX for coupling capacitors;Large a...
Cheap Bryston active or Creek OBH12 passive?
In your situation less-likely you have problems running long interconnects from your CD-player. 2ft between pre and power is ideal and the input sencitivity is ideal. There is no CD-player that I know of has an output less than 1V which is in your...
Cheap Bryston active or Creek OBH12 passive?
newbee, even if the conditions that you've listed do not have such ideal situation i.e. output under 2v or slightly larger than input sencitivity of the amplifier or cables are 1.5m instead of 1 it still does make a sence to get passive COMPARED to...

Let's talk tube amps - no ss discussion
Manley amps for the power you need will certainly be beyond your budget except the integrated one.On the other hand if you have 85dB monitors with small woofer and small room you might realy get away with 60W/ch Otherwise you can get VTL MB185 or ...

Yo bet Macdonj!EMT laser pickup turntable that has a tray like in CD-player and has a line-level output that will easily integrate with car audio. The only thing left is to rearrange the power supply for the 12VDC and that can be probably done if ...
