Multiple audio systems in different rooms; how to link them with streaming gear?
I also do it with Roon and WiFi extenders where needed. Works great!
What's the point of reviewing?
The trick is that one must be able to take all the information available for a product and synthesize that information to derive conclusions that have a good probability of panning out. Not always an easy task. Much easier to just take advice from...
What's the point of reviewing?
@mahgister is right. There is strength in numbers. Many people drawing similar conclusions and representing a decent random sample is the secret sauce. Or even just several knowledgeable sources might do it.
Why do speakers improve with more powerful amps?
It’s apparent when one reads threads like this that everyone has an opinion but only some have science and facts to actually backup their opinions. That’s just the way it is but my only suggestion would be everyone is always best served by at lea...
Should I steer clear of class D amps
Stereophile just released a review of the new HiFi Rose GaN Class D integrated that concluded the sound was essentially flawless and the value hard to beat. Not to mention the good looks! Just saying….
Why do speakers improve with more powerful amps?
The correct answer as is often the case is “it depends”. It depends on the overall design of the amp, the speakers used with, how loud one wants to go, how big a room, how far away from the speakers, and yes even the kind of music and recording be...
Should I steer clear of class D amps
+1 @atmasphere and yes Class D can drive most any speaker well so best of both worlds there.     These are two key factors that have kept me firmly planted in Class D amp land for a number of years now.

I am interested to update my 15 year old system !
Bits are not just bits when talking about making sound from them. The bits have to be correctly read, processed and applied to produce an analog signal. Furthermore, while still in the digital domain, anything is possible in regards to how those b...

Can a system sound too Holographic?
Have you ever heard a properly set up mbl system?   Having been there and heard that I can assure you the answer to the OP question is a resounding no. Few systems out there otherwise can even come close in regards to the 3D holographic soundsta...
Should I steer clear of class D amps
Class D is good stuff these days. Try it and find out for yourself if interested. I started with Class D about 14 years ago in part as an experiment prior to adding more tubes and never looked back. It’s even better technology today. All tubes ar...

What are the best speakers you have ever owned and why?
My current Ohm F5 series 3. They do it all well and are adjustable to most any room large or small. They are a pleasure to listen to for hours on end until something finally pulls you away. I also have much smaller kef ls50 metas which are also w...
