Audio Research discontinuing lower lines components? Yes but the very rich get represented best except at election time, no matter who gets elected. its just a matter of which ones more than others. Dog eat dog. Good news is anyone can become as rich as they want. It takes hard work smarts and deter...

Servers: Are we there yet? " If ain’t broke don’t fix it."I usually tend to agree with that. I still drive a 1996 Toyota for example. But the full potential of music streaming is yet to be realized for me but things are moving forward nicely, so I want to keep up in this...

Is New Vinyl Exempt from Loudness Wars? Really good info. Thanks so much.
No bass with new turntable? Off course make sure the recordings you test with have good bass to start with. Many records do but many do not. Could be an inferior copy on vinyl of something that sounds good on CD. What records are you testing with specifically?
Neutral electronics are a farce... Geoff, learn from the Wolf. Take a chill pill on occasion. Dr. Mopman...signing off.
Is New Vinyl Exempt from Loudness Wars? Don, I know its all digital but that does not preclude having a superior recording in terms of dynamic range on a record compared to CD. Its all a matter of how done and who is the target audience. I suspect new vinyl targets the masses and is not...
When I have seen people listing their systems lately I started with .wav several years back. I liked .wav because it was native CD format. Tagging and artwork was basic and limited but sufficient with Logitech Squeeze system. I investigated making the change about a year or so back as part ...
