Is it possible to adapt kt88 to a 6A3 single ended
Real,There is a difference between "wild" and educated guesses.Knowing Al and his background and interests and having read many of his posts, I can assure you his guesses are among the best educated you will find.Since you asked the question, I'll...
Shopping for speakers at $1500-$2000 is a chore.
I almost bought a Rogue Sphinx. It should work well to suit your needs with most any speaker mentioned in that room which is not large. You'll know what you like best when you hear it. Were it me, I would audition Goldenear Aon 3. That should do n...
Shopping for speakers at $1500-$2000 is a chore.
YEs, many good choices in that range.Goldenear Aon3 is the best I have heard recently that costs less than that and might compete well with more expensive alternatives. If saving any money matters maybe give those a listen. or maybe have some mone...
Is it possible to adapt kt88 to a 6A3 single ended
I have no clue but almost anything is "possible".That doesn't mean its a good idea to do it though. It generally does not pay in the end "to fit a square peg in a round hole" as they say unless there is no other choice. Especially if the consequenc...
Is Dynaudio forgiving speakers?
"Do you consider Dynaudio is the best speakers brand?"I'd say its one of the best IMHO in that it is hard to fault objectively. Different lines work and sound different though and there are many very good ones like Dynaudio so hard to make any suc...

Is Dynaudio forgiving speakers?
I have only heard Dynaudio sound "lean" when underpowered and/or put in too large a room for the model size. Dynaudio is one of the best I have heard at getting a lot of sound out of a smaller box but it typically requires a lot of clean power and...
Is Dynaudio forgiving speakers?
FWIW, I would not call them "forgiving". They'll give you what you put into them.
What is your recommendation on upgrading a Linn LP
The 1980's Linns are keepers. I'd do whatever I could to keep mine going. I am original owner of my Linn Axis that continues to deliver the goods. I'll be keeping it still as long as is possible.
Is Dynaudio forgiving speakers?
I think Dynaudio is an excellent choice for what you are looking for. I use them with good quality Class D amplifiers and find them to be an excellent match there, adding just a touch of warmth and with excellent weight to the music for their size...
Anyone interested in world music?
Putumaya and "Rough Guide" labels/series are great samplers for finding world music. I pick them up whenever I can.I'm not much of an album or single artist guy these days. I'm much more into finding the individual tracks or compositions that I re...
Does alcohol impair appreciation of sound?
Its a well known fact that audiophiles love to party. So there you go.
Disappointing audition after great review
Having worked in audio stores and had the opportunity to compare a lot of gear, it is true that exposure to a lot of different gear is an asset but most likely two differnt people will still likely draw two different conclusions when it comes to t...
Audio grade USB cables
I believe there are various versions and modes of usb operation some older and not well suited for hifi audio. I think getting a good asynchronous mode usb implementation on both ends is important and would not worry much about the cable until tha...
