What is a "reference" system?
My reference is live music, not a system.
What are your opinions of DSP's for speakers
@mswale come have a listen in my house and maybe I can change that.  You never know.
What are your opinions of DSP's for speakers
Some folks like to live in the past which is fine for them but DSP is the ultimate tweak for 21st century “audiophiles”.   We all have rooms and acoustics to deal with. Speaker designers are always constrained by the laws of physics.  DSP enables ...
Would you buy a tube amp if you were unable to use vintage tubes in it ?
I wouldn’t buy anything new that relied on vintage products to sound good.  Kinda silly really but there is something for everyone.
What Meatloaf and Beer Have Taught me about Audiophiles
Meatloaf.  Making the world a better place! Except for the cows.  Ground turkey meat loaf anyone?  Cows do not have a monopoly here.
Picking speakers 3000-5000 budget
@twangy57 I don’t go out on limbs very often but I will predict you would love them for pop/rock music.  They have a lot going for them that I look for: Concentric design for phase coherency A well known designer On the more massive  side for...
Speaker choice without need for deep bass
Would Mofi Sourcepoint 8 be too big?  That should do it nicely with a powered sub in a larger room.

What Meatloaf and Beer Have Taught me about Audiophiles
"Meats-loaf" - What Lisa Douglas used to cook for Oliver in "Hootersville".
What Meatloaf and Beer Have Taught me about Audiophiles
I use the soup analogy.   No two soups taste the same, many are delicious. Yum! Some cost more to whip up than others.  People like some and can’t deal with others.  It is what it is.  Nothing to lose sleep over. I have a $80 DAC that I think sou...
GaN FET Amps vs. Traditional Class D Amps
All "traditional" Class D amps do NOT sound the same.  You have to compare specific models.  The devil is in the details. In general GanFet  ups the ante in terms of performance level possible. Does not mean all GanFets are necessarily better. I...
