My stereo is haunted!! Could it be in the room or the electrical wiring or electric service? Did you try a different room/circuit/outlets? Any component or piece in there constantly when it occurs?
And Now, For All You Omni Fanatics Also worth noting that if this review triggers one to buy, you will see the Ohm website has announced price increases starting September so only a couple days to get ‘em while they are cheaper.
And Now, For All You Omni Fanatics Wow awesome review! You really nailed a lot of key points! Also a nice surprise that you obtained these for compare after your Ohm F rebuild project. My F5s are similar design minus built in subs and one gen older main 12” CLS drivers from ~2008. ...
Listening Skills Part Duex: What are you listening for? You can’t hit a target until you know where it is. In this case meaning you have to have heard “the sound” before you have any chance of reproducing it. To know that sound you seek means training the ear to recognize it when you hear it. Bad recordings and high end audio It’s true most Led Zeppelin is made to be played loud and a system needs to be able to do that clearly without distorting/clipping/fatigue to deliver the intended effect best. A good example of where size and clean power matters. It takes a very ...
Bad recordings and high end audio Of course people listen to all kinds of recordings good and not so good. A good hifi just let’s you hear whatever is there better. Including differences in remasters of those recordings popular enough to warrant remastering. A good hifi will let y...

How long does Class A have? Not long in general but if you have one and love it nobody will make you get rid of it. Also there will always be things sold as long as there are people who want to buy. But not many want to so expect to pay a premium for an increasingly niche item.
So where should the tubes be? Wherever you want. No rules. It’s up to you. Impedance matching between components where tubes are involved is strongly advised however. If you go about it randomly it may sound ok but not best.
