Maybe critical listening skills are bad?
Criticism of one’s critical listening skills ain’t so great either.
I am sad
What are we arguing about this time?  Being upset when something breaks?  CHoice of words?   Sorry the amp broke, but of course everything breaks eventually.  That's what spares are for, to hold teh fort for a period of time as needed. What else...
Enough of the Stereophile futuristic statements about the Focal Diva Utopia
I hear you regarding the ls60s. How many people are all that interested in giant heavy expensive speakers anymore really?  Nothing to do but ramp up the marketing where possible.   Hoping for future KEFs that take a successful jump to GanFET Cla...
Need recommendations for high gain/small footprint class d amplifier
@icherepkai you certainly could use them just for low end but they are designed for and most capable full range. I like the casing designed for ventilation and the somewhat industrial look actually. Very unique. Also when you turn it on you get s...
How stereo changed our lives.
We have better sound now than I ever heard on Star Trek back then.
Why did you purchase the equipment you have and what do you like most about it?
Champagne taste on a beer budget.
Need recommendations for high gain/small footprint class d amplifier
The Class D Audio Ganfet amps are small yet  awesome  and have a jumper on the back for low medium or high gain.  I use medium setting to get to decent SPL with a Schitt Freya pre-amp set on low gain output.
Cambridge EVO 150 opinions?
Evo 150 handles multiple outputs:  2 pair of wired speakers, headphones, bluetooth to wireless bluetooth speakers, so it got that part well covered.
What should I upgrade next in my system?
Definitely check out a streamer if none already. I can recommend Cambridge audio +Roon as a good place to start.
Tube Pre/ Class D Amp - Who has done it?
I had ARC sp16 and Bel Canto ref1000m monoblocks for many happy years. Moved on to newer Class D and dropped the tubes. It was a very”musical” combo I could listen to for hours, but slightly rolled off high and low end extension, and slightly lim...
Is there any such thing as a bad sounding DAC these days?
Charts like that are invaluable to help understand what we hear in music better and use tools like DSP to adjust the sound to personal preference. Agree starting with a high quality neutral sounding DAC then tweak to one’s heart content from ther...

Talk me out of buying Monoblocks and into a stereo amp instead
monoblocks rule!
I am sad
I always keep a spare or two around to keep the music going when something inevitably breaks.   Hope the amp fix works out!
