Anyone try the new Parasound Phono Stage? Anyone try this model yet?
How a turntable is like a gym membership The real question here is: why is this thread in the amps/preamp forum?
Music Direct's In the Groove record cleaner I received mine today and have tried it on two old LPs. It's a bit of work to roll it since it's very tacky. LPs certainly look clean afterwards. I just don't know if it leaves residue yet. I wanted to use it not much for cleaning but to remove du...
the clue by Sjofn HiFi at RMAF My friend and I thought they were a joke. We were out of that room in less than a minute. We just didn't get why anyone would want to listen to these.
Vandersteen Model 7 in large room with power music One speaker that you should probably consider for classical music is the Nola Metro. I heard this at RMAF and was blown away with how well it did on classical music, but you need a large room for it in my opinion. It is also cheaper than the Vandy...
Class "D" amp? I do not have a clue. Do you? Ckoffend,Very well written and interesting post.I'm wondering if you heard the same issues with Spectron?
New Wilson Sasha VS Wilson Audio Sophia 2 Yup, I heard them too. Very nice!
Vandersteen Model 7: has anyone heard? Hmm, I do wonder if these speakers are up to playing rock at 95db, or big orchestral works.I'm at RMAF and will be checking out the Vandy 7's (for my second time tomorrow); I wonder if I can convince them to play something less intimate.
New Wilson Sasha VS Wilson Audio Sophia 2 I went from the Sophia 2s to the Sashas and I'm still trying to find amps that can drive them so I tend to agree with Ricred1.
2010 RMAF Analog Reports + Meet and Greet Nice selections, Dan.
High End Audio and Your hearing as you get older I also have tinnitis and happened to play some test tones yesterday to learn that while I can hear a 10k tone loud and clear, I near nothing at 12.5k (the next available test tone). This caused some amount of panic - what am I missing out on on, e...
Pass Labs Xono vs. Aesthetix Rhea I have owned the Rhea and auditioned a recent Pass phono (XP15 I think).I found the Pass very detailed but tonally thin and sterile. electric guitars were just wrong. The Rhea was pleasant, on the warm side, but a little noisy.
Vandersteen Model 7: has anyone heard? I wonder if these speakers would sound good with solid state electronics.
pass labs xa100.5 or pilinius sa 103 Don't know about the Pass x350.5 but I would take Spectron (with the upgrades) over the XA100.5 (I own both), but again, it's subjective, all amps mentioned int his thread are very good.
Super High Material Where did you get yours? |
