Best external hard drive to store PC ripped music
Drobo is much better, simpler, and easier than RAID, which I used to have.
Decent Power Conditioner in the $ 300-$400s?
used APC as mentioned above.

check out Drobo's. They back themselves up, and have near infinite storage, with hot swapable SATA hard drives. Very cool, love mine.
$6 Million Dollar Man?
Must be super Bright with that Benchmark DAC, or have ton's of tubes to mellow out the glare.
Whats on your turntable tonight?
Rebbi, that Sade album is one of my fav's as well.
$6 Million Dollar Man?
yes, but what type of power cords does he use? If the system is $6 million, at least $4 million of that should be going to the power cables.

What I learned on Audiogon This Year
The 'Feil has hit on all cylinders today. My favorite points there are the censorship (I get moderated a lot, and can't figure out why most of the time), and the cartridge hours.Ironically I just sold 2 cartridges, the one I sold on here, literall...
Primaluna Prologue 3 vs. VTL 2.5
You know, I have a Cary SLP98p-F1 and I have been wondering about the PrimaLuna ProLogue 3 Priemere too. I wonder if it would be an improvement, a degredation, or just a bit different.Interested to see what comes up here from anyone who owns it.

That's absolutely wrong!LOL, love this website. I start a new job Monday so I'm guessing my days of combing the 'Gon ad naseum are over for a while.
...Room friendly speakers?
I have almost the same room with Maggie 3.6R's and they sound great. Awesome in a big space. In your price range I would try the 3.6r's with a Marchand 3 way X-over to a nice 150+ watt tube amp for the highs (VTL, Rogue, ARC, McIntosh), a Sanders ...
Phonomena, vs PS GCPH, Others?
I've never heard hum on the GCPH with LO cartridges, unless there was a related cartridge/motor issue (such as anyone who owns the VPI Classic can happen with an unshielded cartridge). As I said, it's a great value as is. To get it to another leve...
What I learned on Audiogon This Year
Plato, great post. I have heard the Wyred DAC and love it. I am helping a non-audio-fool friend put together a higher end system, and had him buy the Wyred DAC2 as the centerpiece. That said, in my system I liked the Bryton BDA-1 better than the W...
Phonomena, vs PS GCPH, Others?
Vinyladdict, I agree whole heartedly that the PS Audio is a stellar piece of gear unmodded. Maybe the best value I have ever seen in audio. I had budgeted $4500 for a new phono stage, coming to the conclusion after trying differnt phono stages, th...
