| Bryston, McIntosh, Krell or Mark Levinson The late Jim Thiel was a fan of Bryston amps. He used them at many of his demos. He also disliked McIntosh amps. My dealer who knew Jim Thiel for many years talked to him one time and told his he was using McIntosh amps. He was not pleased. | |

| What Have You Done With Your Obsolete/Outdated AV Receivers & Preamps? 😳 Still using a 2004 Krell Showcase HT Processor for movies. Built like a tank. Maybe because there's no HDMI along w/all the other stuff they stick in todays AVR's and processors is why it still works. Got my money's worth w/this processor. | |

| Best preamp with built in phono stage? I've been very happy w/my Luxman CL38U SE for the last 4 years. The phono uses 3 12AX7 tubes and has 4 step up transformers. 2 for MC high and 2 for MC low. Currently I'm using a Dyanavector Karat 17DX as my cart w/excellent results. | |
| AVR: Internal 2 CHANNEL AUDIO MODE. OR: HT BYPASS (external equipment for 2 CH Sources) I have a 2 channel preamp for music and a HT processor. I don't use HT passthrough. I use my 2 channel Bryston amp. The RCA connections go to the 2 channel preamp for music and the balanced connections on the amp are hooked up to the HT processor.... |
