Looking to upgrade a new cart to my TT Went to my dealer and ended up w/a Dynavector 17DX. He had this cart on the stores Luxman PD-171 TT. So I listened to a few record tracks and was sold. Got a nice discount around 17%. I'm bringing in my TT next week when the cart comes in.
Looking to upgrade a new cart to my TT I'm going to my dealer today. I'll see what kind of deal I can get. I saved up quite a bit in my fun cookie jar. Looking forward to giving this TT a very good cart.
Amp Pairing for Aerial Acoustics 6Ts. Gato DIA-150. Michael Kelly suggests Gato for his speakers. Excellent gear made in Denmark.
Why do some audiophiles beat up McIntosh? I'm also on another forum and they continually put down JL Audio. Many consider their subs overpriced and poorly built. Buy what you like.
Stacking a HT processor on top of amplifier How about getting an Amp stand for the Mac.
Thiel CS 2.3 radiator replacement Check w/Rob Gillum at Coherent Source Service. Rob was w/Thiel for 30 years. He has parts for every Thiel speaker.
unbeatable Class A integrated Luxman 590AXII is a Class A Integrated under 10K.
Threshold, Levinson, Bryston, Krell, ?others? used amps I used to own a Forte 4A 50 wpc Class A Amp. At 4 ohms it was 100 wpc in Class A. This was the budget series of Threshold. Great Amp I still regret selling it. Was known to have enough power to run Maggies.
Finally!!! I just purchased some Aerial Acoustics 7T speakers! How do I power them??? I am using Aerial 5's and a CC-3 center w/my 5T's. Seamless surround. Paradigm also works well. In fact when Michael Kelly was demoing his new Aerial on wall LCR's the ceiling and side speakers were all paradigm. Worked well. W/your 7T's you shoul...
my $686 stereo system, laugh if you want... A/D/S speakers have an excellent reputation. The VP for R&D was Michael Kelly who later on formed his own company Aerial Acoustics. Great setup.
Why was the entry level line at Audio Research eliminated? It's a shame CJ also went in that direction. The Classic 2 cost around $1750 and $2200 w/phono. Excellent American made entry level gear.
Aerial Acoustic 5Ts vs Cheap Towers I have a pair of 5T's w/a Bryston 2.5 SST2. 180 wpm into 4 ohms. I'm also using a JL Audio D-110 for the bottom. Set up correctly w/more power excellent speakers. A few years back Stereophile rated them in the Class A category.
All-in-one integrated, 10-15K range, class A/B only He ran both the 590 and the E-800 on the Wilson Sashas. The Luxman had no problem w/the speakers. By the way he bought that Accuphase from someone I know that shops at my local dealer. He had the E-800 for 2 months w/Harbeth 40.2's. He went to the...
All-in-one integrated, 10-15K range, class A/B only I suggest you view the U-Tube Jays Audio Lab. Accuphase E-800 is it any good? He really pans the integrated. In fact he stated the Luxman 590 out performed it. Axiss Distribution the company that imports Accuphase prices the line way too high. Sai...
McIntosh C2700 or Luxman L38uC The 38 C has a low impedance output of 300 ohms. Very easy on the tubes. In my case it's three years and no change on any tube. I've heard anywhere from 5-10 years. We'll see. |
