This is the way to release an album on vinyl...
I loved the Spoons album, have it on CD, mixed a little too loudly like many albums. I have no idea how the In Rainbows sounds on vinyl but I hope it's better then the CD. The CD is HORRID. I was VERY disappointed with Radiohead and Nigel Godrich.

Rotarius, That's a fair call, but I like the idea of keeping my current DAC which doesn't accept 24/96 anyways so really I'm not out anything. My main question would be if it's smarter to buy a flash drive iPod such as the touch or a larger capaci...

Rotarius, Outside of DTS disc's what will play 24/96?
Partner a G08 with Bat VK300x or Krell 400xi
I've always found depth gains have been made closer to the source; toeing in your speakers will also yield better results.
Krell 400xi vs NAD M3 vs Music Fidelity A5 vs Naim
Mfsoa, What you didn't mention was who's unit you listened too, what associated equipment was used and the media you listened too. Perhaps the integrated was broken?
Krell 400xi vs NAD M3 vs Music Fidelity A5 vs Naim
While I do believe hearing is subjective I have too question a few people posting within this thread. If you think the Krell 400xi is mechanical sounding then I would suggest your source isn't up too snuff. Perhaps a change in source or interconnec...
matching the Arros
Ever since Vince left the SimAudio band wagon it appears the focus is now towards Naim. Totem has used Naim at several shows including this room at The Show/CES 08. I believe it was a Naim5i.
Please recommend amp or integrated for Polk LSI 15
Hello, I had the LSi 9's for several years and went through many integrated's including NAD 320BEE, SimAudio i-5080 (basically an i-3) and a Krell 400xi. I found the Krell worked the best. It was a very smooth presentation; I thought the SimAudio ...
Can anyone wean me off of Sublime?
Give "The Slackers" a try. Below is a link from youtube since discovering The Slackers I actually find myself putting on this album more; and I was a pretty big Sublime fan.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rQA3fMhQ9_Q
Radiohead: In Rainbows -- Vinyl or CD?
Hello Jeffery, I haven't compared it too vinyl but I can tell you Nigel recorded this album WAY too loud. I use to enjoy the quality of Radiohead albums as much as the music itself. I'm afraid this time around I simply have to enjoy the music...in...
Stereophile Article - Holt telling it like it is.
Tom:I think his point is nothing extraordinary has happened in high-end in the last 25 years. To an extent he is right when you compare advancements made in other entertainment areas such as computers, gaming, televisions etc...Part of the reason ...
Radiohead's new business model:
Why are some people bitter? It's not as if they kept secret that they were releasing a CD version after; they made a press release back almost 2 weeks ago. Those who wanted to download it could the day it came out on Oct 10th, you could pay $100000...
Radiohead's new business model:
Restock:I really like the new album, it's really picking up where Kid-A left off...some of my favorites include...House Of Cards (great bass reverb use here)All I Need (VERY Kid-A'ish)Weird Fishes ReckonerI really wish Radiohead would do more epic...
Any Massive Attack Fans Out There?
In a recent interview it was suggested the album was to be pushed back to late 07' but I've heard nothing since then. I actually saw them in Toronto last Oct/Nov I believe which is strange as they'd normally tour a record as opposed to just playin...
Why are hi-end active monitors not more popular?
I've asked this question before and several months ago Bob Stuart (Meridian) explained it in a way that made the most technical sense. I'm having too much fun tweaking now but I really could see myself one day buying a pair of DSP active speakers ...
