Best Class A Amp under $2,000 used?
I have no idea why people here don't just answer your question. There are a few very good class A amps to chose from. The best under $2,000 used?  That's a hard question to answer because there is no best. It all depends on what kind of sound you ...
After nearly 20 years, I left Magnepan and went ProAc
There is no way I can be convinced that a Proac speaker would sound more immediate than a well setup Magnepan. I owned 2 Proac speakers and they are very good, great detail, imaging, soundstaging, etc. But as properly setup large Magnepan on the c...
Is it too bright or is it high resolution?
If it sounds good to you, isn't that all that matters? Now if your trying to get your system to sound neutral and non-bright, then your going to have to hear other well established systems along with having trusted audiophile friends help you twea...
Old Amp vs. New Amp
There are a ton of older products that are much better sounding than some of the newer items made today. When I say better, I mean in every way including transparency and openness too.

LaScalla "horn" sound compared to "maggie" sound
I've heard both designs many times and I personally feel Magnepan's are much purer and cleaner sounding. With the Klipshhorn La Scala, I always seemed to hear a "nasal, congested sound."
When and how did you, if at all, realize vinyl is better?
Hello, I own 3 turntables that are setup in my system now along with 3 fantastic phonostages. I have one excellent digital source. Even though digital is extremely good, vinyl does edge it out when it comes to which sounds more LIFELIKE and REAL. ...
Have you ever tried a pair of speakers and said this Is the last thing I will ever need.
I think that to have the response that it will be the last speaker I will ever own, will be after I had listened and owned many speakers and I finally found a very high quality, expensive design that is a keeper.
