Linlai E 6sn7 tubes I find it had to believe Linlai has created two completly separate product lines. The "marketing" ploy would seem more logical. @bigtwin It is great marketing to make the Westerners think they are getting a tube made specifically for their p...
Linlai E 6sn7 tubes The following is my latest update in the quest for the correct Linlai to buy. I sold a pair of the E-6SN7's in the gift box on US Audiomart. The buyer bought them no questions asked and said they were a bargain at my asking price. In just a matter...
Questionable Tweak I moved my floorstander HEPA filter into my living/listening room (not for improved audio reasons) and heard popping noises coming from the speakers. I was playing CDs and as long as the device was in the listening area, I heard the popping sound....

Beware of scam listings - users now have positive feedback. Thanks for the new scam warning. @sbank , don't get me started on no phone communication allowed. I think everyone would like to talk when involved in a big ticket sale.
Why is Audiogon checking my browser? I was not allowed on to the Audiogon site, the page said it didn't recognise me. I contacted Tammy, took only a few minutes to fix. They must be installing new security measures.
Why is Audiogon checking my browser? I haven't been seeing any spam threads which were popping up every night. I think Tammy, et al are trying new security methods.

New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement @papafrgog don’t underestimate the value a good ground. BIG FACTOR. Can you elaborate on the grounding in your system? Was the electrician experienced with installing dedicated lines for an audio system?
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement @jea48 Oh, ok. I thought I got my legs mixed up. (electrician's joke??) Thanks Jim.
New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement If you say you have a dedicated line and are getting noise from the AC then you dont have a true dedicated line. A true dedicated has to be brought in independent from the street. At the very least you are sharing a ground on your dedicated line....
Smoothing power transients? Zero Surge 2R15W > dedicated line, breaker > whole house panel surge protector. I don’t see the whole house surge protector as indicated, but the Zero Surge’s filtering is an excellent way to lower the noise-floor of your system. And the ...

New Dedicated Line - Almost No improvement Electricians when installing a panel try to even the load on each Leg. IOW, They’re trying to achieve close to equal current-draw on each leg. When installing an audio system on one leg, some sacrifices have to be made, such as moving a high amper... |
