Rectifier Tube Rolling in a Modwight LS 36.5DM
No experience with rectifiers on a Modwright , but you cant judge the sonic effect of a tube with only 5 hours burn-in.
Does anyone use white gloves to handle records?
Anybody who has handled vinyl for a while gets the technique of touching only the edges and label..I think it was Fremer who said that it only takes a few times using your thumb and fingers to hold a record and you will never drop it or ruin the s...
Does anyone use white gloves to handle records?
Cool pics of a record pressing plant. They’re wearing gloves in a clean manufacturing situation. Of course, it’s to prevent oils from the hands being transferred to the record’s surface. Also hairs, lint, etc. The difference between that situation...

Clean Power without the drawbacks of Conditioning Filtering. Advice?
@jhills, this thread was useful to me. I may get the Cullen strip and swap out my Wiremold. The Cullen comes with a high quality PC.
soundstage question
One of my best upgrades was to use absorbion on the wall behind me. I hung a large tapestry and it helped define the soundstage and absorbed standing waves resulting in smoother highs.
soundstage question
A thick blanket may have too much absorbion...too heavy and too wide. But the screen should be covered.Panels are best for focusing the image and enhancing the soundstage; some reflective surface is needed.A wall shelf should be fine as long as ab...

Need a Record Brush. Got a recommendation?
@slaw , so the brush works well👍.Have you tried it on a record that's been pulled out of its sleeve and put onto the TT?(An LP that was washed and put away).
Need a Record Brush. Got a recommendation?
@slaw , I completely understand your reasoning. As I discovered, I needed to use my Zerostat, then use the brush to remove any leftover particles. If you noticed on the Thunderon site, it's recommended to hold the record and not have it on the plat...
Need a Record Brush. Got a recommendation?
The demo for the Thunderon makes the process look quick, easy and effective.https://www.sleevecityusa.com/Sleeve-City-Thunderon-Conductive-Record-Brush-p/dc-505.htmI see that the Hunt/DAK brush claims to remove dust from both the surface and insid...

@mental , Use Google and the Agon archives with keywords streaming, or Tidal and start reading. There are the providers such as Tidal, but also the hardware involved. Streaming can be done thru a computer or a dedicated streaming device.
