Digital and Analogue XLR Cables - Is There a Difference?
After doing quite a bit of Googling I found that most studios use 110 Ohm cables for analogue and digital. They don't use 75 Ohm cables at all. There does seem to be a consensus that 75 Ohm cables can intrduce jitter in the digital domain but sho...
Differences in clock cables?
I don't know what clock you have or what's it's clocking but in my experience clocks have hugely inflated prices. My clock is made from a Russian missile. Pre Ukraine war. Most commercially available clocks have a Rubidium clock the size of a gra...
Digital and Analogue XLR Cables - Is There a Difference?
Hi Rick, Well thanks for that. I always believed they were both 110 Ohms. I've been using the analogue for digital XLR for many years and haven't experienced any problems.
Tannoy history and production update
From what I know the Chinese own Tannoy now, along with Quad, Musical Fidelity and others. Their whole staff left to form Fyne Audio which is apparently now considered a better product and made in the UK, Scotland? Except for their budget line whi...
Fuse type - Audio Note UK 4.1x Balanced
If a fuse blows it's for a good reason. Is the other fuse 800mA too? Does it have a T or F on it? It could be a transformer issue. In any case you should contact Audio Note UK.
Aurender N20 versus Innuos Zen NG
One thing that has not been mentioned is that the N20 has a 10 MHz clock input. I cannot understate how important this is. If you've heard the N20 without a clock you haven't heard it plus the burn in on a N20 will be 6 months plus.
Chinese DAC's
@tubeguy76  @perkri  Manley is promoted as an "American as Apple pie" company with full construction of Manley amps in Chino, CA. So why's she bitching? Because she's been caught with her pants down and more than egg on her face. Best case sce...
Why does USB feature so much in discussions about DACs when the newer HDMI seems better?
@richardbrand  You're a total knob jockey, go back to ASR
Chinese DAC's
@perkri  You know that's not what I said. Manley automatically increase their prices every year, my dealer is always complaining. Manley don't hold the perceived value of the Big Mc, not my taste either. So the stupid bint Eveanna has just confe...
Integrated Amp Curiosity
@2psyop  Respect. Nu Vista amps are excellent. Stock up on tubes!
D'agostino amplifiers: where's the beef?
@eziggy That being said, some of the pricing on really high end gear just shatters my mind, especially as it pertains to cables. Cables will maintain their price more than any other component in a hifi system. You may think it’s madness to spen...
Chinese DAC's
The US and EU has created the monster that is China and now it’s time to get off the smack of cheap imports. I know Manley put up their prices every year, tariffs or not, inflation. If the US debt is not paid down you’ll be taking wheelbarrows of...

Troubleshooting help
You should confirm you are't getting DC volts on your speaker outputs. Plenty of YT vids. If there isn't any DC blow out the cobwebs for a few days, see if that helps
