“Faithful to the recording”
ORGANIC - This was first used AFAIK to describe Meridian's fantastic new line up circa 1988? It's been massively abused since then. Meridian did actually produce a wonderful "organic" sound.
Musetec (LKS) MH-DA005 DAC
@debjit_g AFAIK the 005 is NOS and there is no facility in the software for up-sampling. However the Denafrips does up-sample even in NOS mode, there's something I saw on YT about it.

IMO we now have such a magnitude of processing capability on tap that up-sampling is no longer necessary and I concur with @sns  that resolving systems don’t benefit much or at all from up-sampling. When all is said and done up-sampling is fake, ...
Time clock sync devices
@sns Received my Ediscreation Extreme Fiber box today an all in one unit which will finally take me into the wonderful world of streaming. Optical isolation, the full works. Will report back with great results I’m sure once I’m Qobuz registered.
Time clock sync devices
@wokeuptobose Hi, Yes a 10 Mhz clock is a completely different animal from a Word Clock. It acts like a metronome providing a constant beat for any other clocks and oscillators in your system. Now this is what I'm currently discovering and workin...
The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses
I just took out the 5x20mm, T2A, 250V fuse out of my Aurender and it says on the holder only use a 250V fuse, but SR doesn't seem to provide voltage info or are they market specific, ie US 120V, Europe 250V?
Touch up paint for Preamplifier ?
If you really want a cool solution other than painting it BBQ flat black, have a look at  Cerakote. Comes in hundreds or colours and is mainly used for firearms and rock solid. You can apply it yourself or send it off to a recognised agent. Not ex...

@crandell25 Stay in there buddy, good things will come!
Streamer vs renderer vs music server...help
@crandell25 Well I expect you're even more confused now..lol Get an Aurender N20 and a Musetec 005 DAC, currently the best price to performance ratio you can get. They'll make you happy for a long time and they don't bitch either. Research the ...
Musetec (LKS) MH-DA005 DAC
@benzman The 005 responds well to all the expensive ICs, PCs and Digital cables you can throw at it. However, it will take you to hell and back during the break in, but it'll be well worth it. It took me a full eight weeks. Sometimes I have to fl...
power cord affects on video?
NEO D+ by Oyaide figure of eight cables are so good I haven't bothered to try anything more expensive. Just terrific for TV. If you have a smart TV use these cables. Only about $60.00
The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses
@highstream Yes that's what I'll do, change the main fuse first. The four other fuses I believe are to protect the transformers.
Audio Research Ref 75 SE: Replace 20A IEC inlet with 15A
@eugene81 Hi, I'm at the opposite end here, I just brought a pair of Tara Labs Cobalt 20 amp cables out of retirement when I saw a pair of the Voodoo 20 amp (cable) to 15 amp (component) adapters. Well long story short they sound better than ever...
Time clock sync devices
@thanasakis Hi, A master clock is one of the most important contributions to hi-end digital sound quality. However, clocks are very sensitive and they need (expensive) quality clock cables, power cables and power supplies to reveal their full pote...
The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses
@highstream Thanks for the heads up on the 3 for 1 offer. It's a big deal considering my power amp requires 5 fuses, going to be a major pain checking the direction of all those fuses unless I try them individually in a single fuse component first...
