Living in South East Asia for 35 years and spending extended periods of time in Mainland China since the early '90s when you could only buy a black or brown pair of shoes and people were just transitioning from Chairman Mao's denim suits. Urine a...
Has Tweek Geek stop selling QSA products?
According to QSA Lanedri lower quality cables respond best to their conditioning process. They use whole ready built cables such as Blue Jeans and Sablon. However Tweek was making his own cables so he could have a cooker or know the technique. ...
T+A Dac 200 HDMI issues
@fuzztone +1 Why would the creator of SACDs allow you to jailbreak them? I'm surprised however that the T+A 200 doesn't have a USB drive input, you could then play .dsf files through that. Looks like you'll going to need a server/streamer to fe...
Has Tweek Geek stop selling QSA products?
Yeah, about the same time QSA Lanedri started promoting their QSA cables Tweek was offering their own range of QSA cables. Remains to be seen who owns the secret sauce.
The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses
@nutty The SY has an internal fuse, which can be changed.
The New Synergistic Research Purple Fuses
@-wolff- Sounds to me like you've got the fuse the wrong way around.
AES/EBU cable shootout
@svenjosh Thanks for your insightful cable review, we all know it's not easy to get all these expensive cables in the same place at the same time. I'm a DSD guy myself so I use USB but I really appreciate your review, it gives a reflection of dif...

New Synergistic Master Fuse
Every single Purple and Master fuse is different and the only way to determine the direction is by listening. The Purple fuses sound "thin" if they're the wrong way around. The Master sounds "F*ckin' A" if you've got it right.
AES/EBU cable shootout
@rudyb I guess the simplest way to explain this is is digital noise, due to the fact that there isn’t any scientific data to support audible differences. Sometimes when you stream video or watch DVDs you may experience digital noise, it’s the blo...

Grimm MU1 Streamer - Really "The Best"?
@nyev I would strongly suggest you try the Musetec 005, if just to compare what a chip DAC can do against an R2R DAC. I believe that your preference is for a brighter, more revealing sound and the Musetec will give you that in spades, notwithstan...
The best part about MQA bankruptcy..
I can confirm that since Golden Sounds' expose' of MQA, about a year ago, things have got measurable better. Some recordings in MQA are fabulous. However it's greed as usual that has been their "unfolding", forcing the purchase of a specially equ...
New Synergistic Master Fuse
It's a little over three weeks now since I installed my SR Master Fuse in my Plixir 3000 balanced power conditioner. The effects have been nothing short of unbelievable, and I'm still hearing improvements on a daily basis. The most notable impro...
