Aurender Conductor app reliability and user experience
@lalitk +1 Some people have mentioned using Conductor to tag files. Well TBH this should have been done when you ripped your CDs. However you can always change your tags by using a computer to access your Aurender's HDDs/SSDs via it's IP address...
Custom DC power cables - MSB DAC, Dan D'Agostino...etc
They are called umbilical cords and there a quite a few companies that make them, usually only artisan companies. They are mostly made of silver and not cheap. Tubulus, Revelation Labs 😏 etc.
Aurender Conductor app reliability and user experience
@mazian Anyone with even a glancing contact with computers knows that people delete files and folders, not computers. However please note that Aurender does not have a recycle bin or restore feature, so if you're playing about, connected remotely...
Aurender Conductor app reliability and user experience
@robertkpax Robert, The A200 and N200 are both fine machines and the cost savings on the A200 are not insignificant, especially when you figure in an additional power cord and USB and or SPDIF cables too. Aurender is one of the very few companies...
Wadia GNSC
Wadia are as dead as the dodo and their spares are almost extinct. I've still got a GNSC Wadia 781i. Before buying any CD/SACD player make sure that spare drives and lasers are available. Even better rip all your CDs to a server/streamer.

Aurender Conductor app reliability and user experience
@robertkpax Hi, personally I would get the N200 and a separate DAC. This will add a few more $1k to the price but it’ll be worth it in the long run. Enabling you to switch DACs. The Conductor App is a closed loop, something like Apple iOS, wherea...
Tip for purchase new power cable
@marco777 Marco the current top of the line Oyaide power cord is the Vondita. An excellent cable, I have one powering my ethernet optical isolator. Don't worry about Jason, ASR is quiet at the moment. He will return to his natural habitat shortly.
Frampton Acoustic Classics
In case you Frampton guys don't know, his father taught Jagger at school and IFIRC they both went to the same school.
T+A DAC 200 or WEISS 501
@jasbirnandra The T200 comes very highly recommend by many here as the best value DAC under $15k. Much depends on your system of course and you need a demo.
T+A DAC 200 or WEISS 501
My choice would be neither because they both have pre-amps and the Weiss has a renderer, I would choose a pure DAC without anything else. The reasons to choose the Weiss against the T200 come down to size and it's 4ch processing which I believe c...
New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
@ja_kub_sz Thank you for a well thought out comparison between the MMT, T200 and Musetec 005. You have exactly the same priorities as myself, Solid State, dynamic wide presentation and I thought very interesting that you try to get a multi-channe...
New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
Oh .....so you've got a secret DAC....let me guess???? It's a DCS because they're all show and no go! Just like???? You still don't get the relevance of "GOD SAVE THE QUEEN, MAN!"
New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
Here you come with your nonsense again. Try to avoid getting “sticky” with resolutions, PCM vs DSD, I2s, USB, etc because it all depends on the designer and the implementation. Also, the poster who talked about the MSB solution being all in one ...
New DAC! Meitner MA3, Denafrips Terminator Plus, Holo May KTE, Mola Mola Tambaqui
The MSB gives you the choice of having everything in a single box. DAC, Pre-Amp, Streamer; storage is probably through a NAS. Native DSD is an option if you use the USB input module, native DSD should be possible via NAS. Everything is clocked i...
