True Sound Works Apogee Diva Ultimate - Any Good?
Thanks!!!
True Sound Works Apogee Diva Ultimate - Any Good?
Thanks!...I will do that. I am told that it is sometimes best to use the same amplification for both ends, because it makes the work with the active crossover easier...and is a 'must' with a passive crossover. I am no techie, but I have been advis...
True Sound Works Apogee Diva Ultimate - Any Good?
Lissnr,do the TSW Full Ranges have to be bi-amped? Or can they be driven by one stereo amp? I run the Gryphon Colosseum amp so hopeful that this will suffice. Thanks for any advice.

True Sound Works Apogee Diva Ultimate - Any Good?
Thanks Lissnr!!! Sounds amazing. I have looked into the Apogee Grand...that much 25-year old electronics, 6 amps, etc...whew! that's a bit too much 'stuff' even for me. I currently use the Zanden 4-box, CJ GAT and Gryphon Colosseum (160 watt dual-...
True Sound Works Apogee Diva Ultimate - Any Good?
Interesting discussion. What are the TSW Full Ranges? I looked at their website and saw 2 Apogee speakers...Diva Ultimate and Duetta. Do people drive them in parallel with subs or solo? (Note: i play classical, jazz, blues, solo...but also deep ho...
The best speaker you ever heard?
Interesting comment Ctsooner...I have heard a few people whose opinions I respect make a similar comment: bass integration and image size. I suspect the former is setup but the latter I cannot say. I was amazed by the Genesis 1.1s when I heard the...
Stereo Times Review of the Apogee Acoustics Diva
Hi Unsound,I have heard the Apogee Stages (never liked the Centaurs myself which I think were hybrids as you mention). Those Stages driven by a big ML amp were amazing. But my ear then was quite different than today, and who knows...maybe it was r...

Very nice, Melbguy1!I have the Tripoint Troy Signature and also use Entreq grounding...as well as Entreq AC wraps. Great stuff!!!Now......about that Gigawatt of yours. I was most intrigued to read about it this morning (completely by coincidence)....
Stereo Times Review of the Apogee Acoustics Diva
Nice...very nice. Yes, I have heard excellent things about the Masterpiece series. I run the Gryphon Colosseum into my Wilson X1s (modd'd a bit). Zanden 4-box digital front-end and CJ GAT pre. Velodyne DD18 sub in parallel. Transp RefMM/XL (MM2) c...
Refined SS Stereo pwr amps under 10K?
Good call.
Stereo Times Review of the Apogee Acoustics Diva
Yes, the S5s are amazing. I have heard them with Constellations and ARC though never Vitus. With Arrakis, I would probably stick with my Gryphons since that is what Andy payor uses to voice them, and I really like my Gryphon. But frankly Vitus is ...
Stereo Times Review of the Apogee Acoustics Diva
I hear you Melbguy1,Those things are H-U-G-E. I have a good friend who owns them...he uses all-Kondo electronics...the best of their best stuff. And it sounds remarkable. Have you heard the Rockport Arrakis? I have heard it tri-amped with VTL Sieg...
Refined SS Stereo pwr amps under 10K?
Gryphon Diablo (integrated, but serious SOTA quality and I am told very much in the lineage and sound qualities of their larger amps). I am biased as an owner of the Colosseum amp...but it is sensational to have all-out assault pure Class A power,...
Stereo Times Review of the Apogee Acoustics Diva
Great question Melbguy1...I always remember the Apogee Stage...what a great speaker that was...and for $1K second hand, a steal imho. I have heard the Genesis 1.1s...remarkable but boy are they BIG! Would love hear how the big Apogees (Apogee Gran...
