Preamp 47K load. Cartridge needs 330 ohm
A 1:10 SUT is perfect for your needs. And no cartridge has an absolute requirement for a single particular load resistance. A 1:10 SUT will result in a 470 ohm load and that is just fine for your cartridge. See above for other viable solutions.
Turntable prices. Is my mind going?
Bill Gates is one of the great philanthropists of our lifetimes. So, give the guy a break on the cost of his audio system, as if any of us knew what that was.
Stylus stuck in groove.
I am surprised if goo gone does not dissolve or distort the vinyl itself.
Getting into vinyl for the first time
Buy more LPs. You’re going to get sick and tired of the two you have otherwise. Listen to what you’ve got for several months. Then come back with specific questions.

For $5K or less you can have 95% of the performance of those hyper-expensive behemoths.  And I am not sure you would ever hear the 5% difference.
Found a Milty Zerostat alternative
I did not measure both sides after treatment.  I only measured the one side that was treated.  In any case, if you play the side you just treated, you would want to treat the back side if you are then going to play that side, because friction betw...
Found a Milty Zerostat alternative
Thanks for your response, but I still don’t know how you use the gun, because you did not mention it. When you are treating the record, and the gun is near to the record, is the trigger depressed or extended? if it’s extended, when do you squeeze ...
Anti-Skat on the EAT F-Note Tonearm
For the Nth time, a blank LP surface does not replicate the condition that gives rise to the skating force in actual practice, which is friction between stylus and groove walls. The stylus tip cannot engage the blank surface in the same way it eng...
Turntable Isolation
Or build a plywood box at least 6 inches deep and wide enough and long enough to accommodate your TT with a few inches to spare on all 4 sides. Then fill it with beach sand. Then sit your TT on a slab of wood, any wood, that is resting on the surf...
Found a Milty Zerostat alternative
What I actually said was just a quote from the Shure Corporation white paper on static charge.  They observed that if you neutralize only one side of an LP the charge on the other side will migrate to the treated side.  I would have to review that...
phono stage help please.
Most who have heard both say xp15 is superior to Xono. So if Xono is superior to Aleph, as per the above opinion, you have your answer.
Mint Protractor. A Pretty Nice Alignment Tool
Thanks, R.
Experience with Glanz MH-10Bt? Luxman PD-171A
The Koetsu Urushi loves high effective mass.  This is not a subtle need. It almost doesn't matter how good the tonearm is as much as high effective mass does matter.  I use an Ortofon LH9000 headshell (18g) on a Fidelity Research FR64S. That combi...
Found a Milty Zerostat alternative
Most likely you are using the zerostat incorrectly.  There's no shame in that. Zapping an LP inside its wrapper or sleeve, whether paper or whatever, is never going to work.  One reason your LP may stick to your felt mat is that felt itself is a g...
Mint Protractor. A Pretty Nice Alignment Tool
Mijostyn, is it really true that most tonearms are mounted incorrectly regarding P2S distance? I would have thought that overhang was the most common error. The very first and really only important thing to do when mounting a new tonearm is to get...
