| warming up time tube amplifier tubes are up to speed in 5 minutes or so, the capacitors take a little longer...I wait about one hour. If you listen multiple times a day I would not turn the tube equipment on and off. I'd turn it off at the end of the day. | |

| Using XLR to Rca adapter I used those just as you are contemplating (Cardas brand) and it introduced pronounced noise into my system. I could hear the transport motor! I put them away and still have them....I would stick with the rca to rca interface. |
