Factory service for products from the 90's
@sid42     I have a MC7300 which I have owned since new. Last year I sent it off to BobTheTechAudio.com for servicing for some minor issues and to have the bulbs replaced. I’m not sure he can help you but he is very knowledgeable and is great to c...
Factory service for products from the 90's
Wasn't "factory service" but I have had no problem getting servicing or repairs done on my McIntosh gear.  There are several very reputable individuals available.  The McIntosh amp and preamps I own are from the 1980's and early 1990's.
Just got started on Qobuz. Can anyone recommend an album or song?
David Crosby's "If I could only remember my name" 50th anniversary album. Eva Cassidy's "Live at Blues Alley" 25th anniversary album.
Does Formula 1 racing and high end audio go together for anyone else?
Having attended several F1 races, and having been an AMA Road Racing participant for 8 years, I stopped watching F1 several years ago.  Several reasons for doing so, to include the predictability of top tier team wins, and the presence of a couple...

Limited soundstage between speakers
Why? Because of the Soundstage, to include every system I’ve owned, plus the live venue’s I’ve attended over the last 55 years. The only speakers I have toed in are studio monitors on stands for near field computer generated audio.
Limited soundstage between speakers
Personally, I would never purchase speakers that were recommended or required  to be toed in.
Sound Better w/Amp Directly Into Wall Then Thru Zero Surge
I'm not sure I understand all the ramifications regarding the pathways of power you are referring to, but having been an owner of the Shunyata Hydra 6 for many years I am confident in saying that 1) even with multiple power surges the Hydra has pr...
Any song recommendations for testing purposes?
Yes, Hotel California is a good start. I do believe there might be other threads, directly or indirectly, with suggestions.  But a "list" of recommendations could become very lengthy and I imagine it becomes unique for each listener.
Limited soundstage between speakers
+1 @mahgister.  Obviously you have spent many years with the time involved with the development of your sound room.  Unfortunately, while many of us would love to have a dedicated sound room, it is for the most part not a practical undertaking.  T...
