If you were serious about sound you would... “How is it possible to get better sound than the best recording studio gear? ” For starters, buy a better preamp and amp and not settle with mid-fi gear like PS Audio. And better is subjective, we all have a different perception of what is better...
Aurender A20 or Lumin X1 Both are great but as @ghdprentice stated, how they sound in your system and to your ears takes precedence over any of our opinions. Beyond that, look for features that are more important to you. You asked for opinion, so here is mine. A quick g...
Brian Hoyer / In-Tone / kasa Brian Hoyer appears to be a crook. The discussion started by @hiendmmoe has been removed by mods. Sounds like this guy is financially broke. I recommend a legal action and enforce a lien judgement on any real property he owns. This is probably th...
Really Long XLR @bigtwin Glad to hear you are pleased with Audio Sensibility XLR’s. IME, cables will continue to improve upto 300 hours mark. Enjoy your superb investment for years to come!
Aurender @navyachts Most NOS (non-over sampling) DAC are pretty darn good. And LAB 12 DAC 1 uses one of my most revered tubes. If you can score a NOS pair of Telefunken ECC88, you would be in musical heaven with DAC1/N200 pairing.
New Rel Classic 98 Subwoofer @j_andrews Nice review from Steve Huff. I own a pair of REL’s with 500W spec so his review of classic 98 alleviates some of my concerns about 300W being not adequate. https://youtu.be/nKnORkIHKts
New Rel Classic 98 Subwoofer @j_andrews Just watched the video. A year before COVID hit, I asked JH if he has any plans to introduce a sub like classic 98, the answer was NO due to production costs. I guess he had lot to time to think during COVID and there must be enough i...
Problem: Pro-ject Audio CD Box RS2 T transport Reach out your dealer and ask for immediate replacement. Apparently there are known operational issues…..check out the latest thread on CD Box https://forum.audiogon.com/posts/2607423
Aurender +1, @ghdprentice on trying both SPDIF and USB cables.
Aurender @navyachts I completely understand. I have been at this pursuit for a while and believe that I have reached the summit as far as my digital front end. Technology keeps on evolving; for now, I am in a place where music matters more than the gear.
Aurender “I presume you use the AUDIO USB 5V - 0.5A output to the DAC?” @navyachts I am not using USB or vulnerable SPDIF/AES protocols. There are very few who realizes how well designed Aurender products are in their implementation of hardware and softw...
Aurender @navyachts Congratulations on purchase of N200 and if I may say so, wise decision towards building a solid digital from end that will give years of joy. One of the things I appreciate about Aurender is shelf life of each model. I enjoyed the N10...
Resolving CD Transports Crowd Sourcing @wharfy Congratulation on ordering Urd. I hate to bring this up now but I can’t believe no one has brought up the Ayon CD Transport. Maybe out of your price point but it deserves a shoutout to anyone considering a top notch CD transport. Check i...
Would you choose 1 ou 2 subwoofers for a stereo set? 2 - 12” and my vote goes to REL. For music, REL are so much better and easy to blend with your main speakers than JL’s.
Aurender @ronboco In that case, N200 with USB or SPDiF output would make an amazing pairing. No need to sweat about balanced outputs from a streamer as your B866 will decode digital signal (bits) internally from N200. And, if I may suggest trying a bet... |
