Sound Quality @navyachts I agree but the price of admission is totally worth it (to me). You can try a sampler like the one below, https://www.nativedsd.com/product/2xhdft1248-audiophile-analog-collection-vol-3/
Sound Quality “Any good recommendations for a DSD 256 CD to purchase for a test drive”@navyachts Are you asking recommendation for a DSD256 file? I am not aware of any CD’s that has DSD256 resolution.
Garrard 301 - Project @tomic601 I hear you..those are all legitimate concerns when employing a long single ended interconnects. I am going to experiment with long and short IC’s and report back. @larryi Thanks for your recommendation. The tonearm is Reed 3P, let’...
Garrard 301 - Project Update: Garrard 301 expected to be here this week. Is there a maximum recommended length for IC between phono and Integrated? I may end up needing a 4M ~ 5M single ended Interconnects for a preferred placement.
what are the best sounding Accuphase or Luxman amps/preamps? I would take C-2450 + A48 over any Luxman offerings. I own E-650 due to space restrictions, otherwise I would switch to Accuphase separates in a heartbeat.
Sound Quality “I need to experiment with all this myself first!” @navyachts That’s the mantra I believe in and it has paid huge dividends. As far buying media, I selectively buy CD’s, DSD downloads and Vinyl. The primary reason to buy is to enjoy exemplary so...
Sound Quality @navyachts I prefer WAV…I just don’t like the notion of unnecessary decompression (unfolding) process with FLAC files. Storage (SSD) cost is no longer an issue so why bother ripping CD’s in a lossy FLAC format.
Sound Quality “FLAC it is” @navyachts I would rip and compare FLAC vs WAV and see if you are able to tell the difference between the two files 😊
Sound Quality @navyachts The SSD drive (SD Card) doesn’t not require any formatting by end user (you). It’s done by Aurender software. Once you have transferred off all the previously stored music, you can start transferring newly ripped music (cut & past...
Sound Quality @navyachts sounds like a plan! And congratulations on new DAC. BTW, a DSF (DSD Stream File) is a high-resolution audio file which contains uncompressed DSD audio data along with information about how the audio data is encoded. It can also option...
Sound Quality “Even further to that, how can I take the files that are on the SD card that's in the N200 and move them elsewhere?” @navyachts I hope this is a temporary move? Ideally, you want to play files stored on N200 SSD (solid state drive) not elsewhere...
This sound-suppressing silk can create quiet spaces Jim @tomic601 Thanks for the tip. Google search lead me to couple of vendors selling soundproof curtains. It will be an interesting experiment to hear the result of combining these curtains with my existing GIK’s Gobo panels.
This sound-suppressing silk can create quiet spaces @abnerjack Thanks for sharing. I will be on lookout for this stop noise bleeding from my dedicated music room. Unfortunately, I can’t install a door so this would be perfect.
JPLAY ? Qobuz iPhone JPLAY offers free trial….you should try it. $49 is a chump change when you experience the superb User Interface and SQ.
聖HIJIRI Users thread @jasbirnandra I would go with IC and then speaker cables. |
