Ethernet Cables, do they make a difference? “I get it that you have no clue how this stuff works but it at least should be a ’woke’ moment for you...”Oh I know exactly how the streaming works, but you can’t seem to grasp a simple fact that once 10, 20 or 30 seconds of downloaded 1’s and 0’s...
Ready to move onto next stage of streaming You could consider Aurender A10, but how much improvement you would yield by spending 4x is contingent upon your system and your ears. A10 is pretty amazing for all it does at $5K price point.
Ethernet Cables, do they make a difference? “When I start playing a song, pull the Ethernet cable, and the song plays on for the duration, like it does with Tidal, what effect is the cable having?”There won’t be any music to play if there was no cable between the switch and renderer to begi...
LA AS Cancelled Very disappointing! They cancelled T.H.E. Show in 2017. I guess we can continue to count on AXPONA (which was great this year) and RMAF.
Ethernet Cables, do they make a difference? “My proposal is that gear that is susceptible to a change in a short length of Ethernet cable is faulty”Great, this is coming from a guy who conduct listening tests on a headphone. And the other one, who clearly do not believe that cables can make...
Ethernet Cables, do they make a difference? “I've tested out 3 botique cables from $27 to $233 a foot. In three systems, didn't do anything more or less than 315 foot of 5e. Also in a forum members system a $13, 100 foot cable, put the bamboozle on that members system when blinded”@jinjuku,...
Ethernet Cables, do they make a difference? “it is simply not physically possible for your ethernet cables to make a difference in sound quality”“If the same CD was sent to your house in a nice metal box with gold flaked paint on it would the CD inside sound any different? No, of course not...
HT Bypass on preamp The 2ch preamp in bypass mode is simply passing the signal from your processor. In this mode, the volume control on the preamp is disabled so that the A/V receiver volume control is used to drive your L/R speakers and amp.
MQA through Toslink You may consider Bluesound Node 2 which retail for $499.00. But I am not sure if you will hear full MQA unfold through its Toslink output. I own a Vault 2 and using its analog (RCA) output for MQA playback.
Which 30K Speakers Would You Give Up For Tekton Double Impacts? Speaking of DI’s, they are probably the best value for Home Theater Sound, IMHO. For 2 channel, there are better choices out there regardless of price point.
Aurender and Tidal hanging up Listening to my N10 right now, no issues whatsoever. Looks like it could be your internet, try rebooting your router. Can you tell us how is your N10 is connected to the router?
2018 Axpona Eikon System OP, You’re spot on with your impressions on Eikon. I loved them too. It’s easily one of the most complete and incredible sounding system under $25K. My top pick from the show was Avantgarde Trio XD.
THE GRYPHON HAS LANDED at THE SHOW NEWPORT | THE SHOW JUNE 1-3 2018 Gryphon has already made their appearance in US last year. I heard their gear last year at RMAF 2017. The brand is known for high performance gear and comes with a pretty hefty price tag. https://parttimeaudiophile.com/2017/10/12/rmaf-2017-gryphon...
Bluesound Node 2 as a preamp? For a budget component, Node 2 does lot of things exceedingly well. As many already suggested, Node2 will sound better with outboard quality DAC. I have my Vault 2 connected to my ARC preamp and DAC. I listened to MQA tracks using Vault 2 analog o...
Oppo Ceasing production Anyone who pays over retail for a 205 is a fool IMHO+2 |
