Purchase breaks well within 30 days It’s unfortunate that one of the channels stop working. The seller is not obligated to take the unit back regardless of how long it would take to get the repairs done. As others have suggested, pursue the repairs with the manufacturer. Hopefully i...
Just added full LP playback @frozentundra,Jeff,All of my cabling is by Audio Envy. I am using their Prestige RCA interconnects between my TT, phono and Integrated. The cable has incredible low mass, capacitance of 4.2pF per foot. And a generic zip cord for grounding. I did o...
Audio envy - dang! @ocean2059,Thanks for your feedback. I should have my phono cable soon. And I agree, replacing other cables with AE should yield to much better system synergy. Atleast, that’s been my experience with AE loom.
Just added full LP playback Jeff@frozentundra,Thanks for the compliments. Thorens TD1601 sub-chassis is mounted on three conical springs thus allowing its platter to float vertically. I don’t think I’ve experienced any loss in the bass region with this table. RE: Sibilant. @...
Just added full LP playback @frozentundra, Thanks for starting this thread, learning a great deal here. I am also tinkering with Vinyl and recently put together following setup, Thorens - TD1601 with TP 92 tonearm, Hana ML, Parasound - Zphono XRM Phono Preamplifier. The setu...
Best room treatment I would recommend you to reach out to GIK Acoustics for a free consultation. IME, they are best in the business and reasonably priced compare to their competitors. Check out some of the systems here that are using their acoustic panels. https://sy...
DCS Network Bridge? Aqua LinQ Streamer? @cal3713,RE: LinQ, I inquired last month about in-home audition and my dealer said not possible due to very high demand.
Audio envy - dang! ^^^No financial stake in AE. Like many others here, just a happy customer who can’t help feeling ecstatic by high performance cables at a very reasonable price of admission.
Beating a dead horse.... SACD @riley804,I hear you. My post was not to knock down your suggestions under OP’s budget. It was more in line with a reality check on his bid for a ‘good sounding player’ :-)
Beating a dead horse.... SACD +1, @thyname said! Seriously, why bother with choices given by @riley804. You might as well digitized all of your SACD’s. Unless you consider a player like this, you’re just filling an empty spot in your rack. https://www.hifishark.com/goto/65_174...
Audio envy - dang! “A lot of speakers have low impedance in the bass region and it’s been my experience that small gauge speaker wire has a detrimental effect on bass performance.”@turnbowm,Generalizations are often indicative of ignorance. If you’re serious about a...

Audio envy - dang! @pokey77,Thanks for the compliment. I am going to send you a PM (I prefer not to shame other brands in a open forum). What I do want to express is this, Audio Envy’s cables simply gets out of the way and let’s me enjoy music to the full potential ...
Pondering a change after 30 odd years... Another vote for Tannoy’s...look into Prestige Series, Stirlings or Turnberry’s.
Has anyone ever tried cables made with OCC (Ohno Continuous Cast) Copper? As others have pointed out, OCC copper does sound better (transparent, detailed and smooth) than anything I’ve tried. My system is wired with Audio Envy cables which uses OCC wire and priced reasonably. https://forum.audiogon.com/discussions/audio... |
