Should I upgrade from a Mac Mini to a dedicated server or should I upgrade my dac? IME, it’s the subpar and lazy approach in the design and implementation of most ROON compatible devices that leading us to believe that a single device serving as Roon core and end point is not optimal. To name a few, take a look at Taiko, Pink Fa...
Point of diminishing returns for a Network Streamers? “Roon is very demanding when it comes to resource consumption. Using one machine as roon core and streamer is not the best approach.” @audphile1 I beg to differ. If Nucleus and Mac-Mini or similar devices is your reference, then the answer is Y...
Network Acoustics Muon ethernet filtering system - Improving streaming sound quality @pokey77 I have added the ground boxes in my virtual system. Basic switch....should I upgrade? “You‘d think a decent designer could do better!” @antigrunge2 You’re so right. I would like to see a completely isolated Ethernet chamber with some kind noise filtering tech inside streamers / servers. Essentially a ENO or MUON filter type appr...

Preview and teardown -- Erhard Audio Ella Tube Preamp I don’t quite get the decision to position I/O jacks in the middle of front panel. Imagine the rats nest and nightmare of routing your IC to your source components and amplifier.
