Advice for killer desktop speakers
When push comes to shove I think it's going to be pretty hard to beat the Audioengine 5+. I have to wonder if those that suggest other options have actually heard the Audioengine 5+ in their systems and/or in a store set up for a true compairson? ...
Best TT under $1k
@audionoobie, All good choices, unfortunately you will never really know how anything will sound until you try it in your home system. My guess is you will be happy with any of the major proven brends.

Send Inlets to be Cryoed

Vintage receivers???
I really like my Marantz 2252B, works and sounds great. My biggest gripe is the speaker cable connection to the rear of the classic receivers, back in the day when we only used zip cord that was fine but times and technology have changed. I hate t...

"New" Western Electric wire
I have the vintage Heavey duty Western Electric 10 gauge wire and the Duelund 16 and 12 gauge wire that grannyring mentioned. I agree 110% go with the Duelund wire. As far as I know grannyring does an excellent job with all types of custome work. ...
High Fidelity Cables MC 1-PRO
I've been told that one has to use the Pro in an active system for break-in to occur.
Best Speaker cable in the $400.00-$500.00 range for 2 meters
Make your own speaker cables from 12 gauge Duelund Tinned - copper in cotton, oil impregnated wire. Will cost less than $500 and most likely will sound better than whatever you can buy new or used in that price range (after break-in).If you must b...
