Thinking about upgrading, but wondering about diminishing returns
"I listen to CD's when I have less than an hour, and for when I work out".Because of the limited time, an hour or when working out, maybe the OP doesn't want to spend the funds on digital, at least that was my understanding in his origional question.
Thinking about upgrading, but wondering about diminishing returns
@laimowen, I can't emphasize enough the need for at least one if not two dedicated circuits (assuming they can be added bassed up your room location, whether you own or rent etc.) and an upgrade to a more high-end  AC outlet. This suggestion will i...

+1 hifiman5. Just make sure the power cord is a large gauge such as 12 or 10 gauge etc. suitable for your PerfectWave Power Plant.
Isolation for Focal Aria 936
Personally, if you the funds I would advise you to purchase the IsoAcoustics GAIA III, the GAIA will improve your speakers as the video demonstrated.
Thinking about upgrading, but wondering about diminishing returns
In my opinion, you have a rock solid system and the law of diminishing returns is a killer. One will have to spend a lot of money to hear a bit more soundstage, imaging, and overall musicality. I'm guessing that's what you are after by your post. ...
Is it all in my head??
I don't care what anyone's profession is, doesn't mean crapola! Just because one can't hear a difference with power cords or any type of interconnect, doesn't mean there isn't a sonic difference with the music one hears. It could mean they have not...
Wet carpet under system
Unfortunately, my experience with large areas of wet carpet requires the carpet and padding to be removed so the floor can completely dry out.Padding most likely needs to be thrown out. Sometimes the carpet can be saved and other times its best to...

Cleaning the woofer JBL 4312 after hanging in a smoking studio.
That's a great question. If I were you I would contact one of the major manufacturers and run that question by them. Ones doesn't want to damage the cone.
OPINIONS PLEASE - Phonostage for new Rega P8/Apheta 2 - Sutherland 20/20 or Allnic 1201
I have been using the Allnic 1201 for many years and am still very pleased with it. Sorry to say I have not heard the Sutherland 20/20.I can say the 1201 is dead quiet in my system and does all I want it to.
Isolated Ground causes ground hum.
One major thing I've learned over the years of reading the Audiogon Forums is you never can go wrong following the advice of jea48, gs556 and several others that I have not mentioned. Thank you to all those prefessionals...
Cardas Clear Light vs Clear Sky
+1 concerto4, so true!
What's the deal with all the spam lately?
I've wondered the same, just saying...
Amp and volume control for JBL 4367?
You have a very nice pair of speakers that are 94 db efficient with some really good bass. Those speakers should be very easy to drive with almost any amp. Do you have a preference in sound, solid state, tubes or class D? An integrated unit might ...
Am I missing something here?
In my opinion, one doesn't have to spend a fortune in order to have a system that performs accurately and to your liking. Perhaps you did a very good job selecting components and with your room accustics.
