CYRUS CD t Transport
Charles,Thank you for your suggestion. For the time being I'm just looking at possible options and if I make a purchase it would be in the future. I don't really have a budget and am trying to keep an open mind.My fear is a transport might not soun...

FYI:I actually had to tie the waveguides (I assume that's what is in the center of my HF U and UR power cords) to the side of my rack in order for the power cord to reach and/or not fall off the rack. That's the biggest downside (besides cost) tha...

CYRUS CD t Transport
Hello Rx8man, good to hear from you. Thanks for the suggestion.I use to own a CEC TL-2 that I ran to my Dodson Audio DA-217. I ended up selling both and went to a one box unit, the Music Culture MC 501A (CDP) and the MBL 1531 (CDP), they both gave...

Calvinj,Sounds interesting.Anyone have any first hand suggestions for a CD Transport to feed a Dac that will better my Music Culture 501A CDP or MBL 1531 CDP (that I'm using now as a transport) to feed my Yamamoto YAD-01 Dac?

Ddraudt, you have been a busy audiophile! How much additional weight does the new upgrade add to the interconnects and power cords?

I agree with Hdm, if you put an AC outlet or a power cord on your refrigerator, it's a very good way to burn them in. I finally invested in an Audiodharma Cable Cooker, which does a very nice job.

Does a Good 20 amp cable Make a Difference
Shunyata has stated that the most important power cord is the one feeding your Shunyata Power Filter. I agree as others have said in this post get the best power cord you can afford to run from the AC outlet to your power filtration system. And in ...
Audio Rack Opinions
If you have the space I think you might be better off going wider rather than taller. IE: two stacks of three rather than one stack of six. With that said I have no proof that one type of rack would be more stable or sound better then the other.

@Jmcgrogan2,Thanks...I wasn't expecting the Yamamoto Dac until the end of Summer, so it was a real surprise to me that it was being shipped. Really an improvement, very similar to adding a HFC to your system. :-)!More detail, better imaging, more ...

@Calvinj, my system is sounding superb!I need to update my system on Audiogon however after a six week wait I finally received my very simple solid state Dac: "Yamamoto YAD01" from Japan. As soon as I plugged it in I heard a very positive differen...
High Fidelity Cables -- A revelatory experience
I searched high and low for interconnects, speaker cables and power cords that I really liked. At this point in time I still really like the sound of HFC. I do have to admit and I totally agree that they are painfully expensive ;-(!
