| Phono stage for Benz Wood H2 What about a Benz Micro PP-1 phono stage? It's beautiful and very small and around $1k new. I think i've seen them from around $600 used. Works perfectly with Benz carts. | |

| Stand-alone phono amps? Thanks Albert, that clears things up. I guess many of these phono amps that appear to not need an amp actually don't need a preamp.The only phono stages i've found that don't need an amp are those in integrateds which were mostly popular pre '80's. | |
