any opinions about the bat vk d5 cd player ? Another CD player in that class ( though soild sate ) would be Wadia 301 or 302 if you can find one. I think tihs one does it better than both of the fore mentioned.
new Jolida Bignerd100,Looks like we have our own thread going here. Actaully I contacted the seller out of curiousity. He is actaully out of the UK and told me that the US would frown on him selling to the US under-cutting the market here. But he CLAIMS to be...
I love my Vandersteen's but . . . . . . . . Stumpie,Oops! My mistake I confused the watts with the first post. But I must agree with Eagleman6722, there must be a marriage between the amp and the speakers. I have had Quicksilver M-60's ( 60 watts per channel ) matched with the Vandersteen 3...

EL-34: JJ Tesla or Electro-Harmonix? From my experiences the JJ Tesla's had the most bass and the sweetest midrange. ( of current tube productions ) The Svets lacked in bass, and I thought the Electro-Harmonix were just plain blah. But I suppose it depends on the associated equipment.
Looking for warmth WoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooW! My ears are bleeding just reading about that setup! A tube pre might work as well. There are a few that can usaully be had for around $600-$700. Or some warmer IC's between the source and the pre would help. If...
