Meitner MA3 amp/integrated suggestions @ghasley hi Geoff! Yes the Sayes 421a is a keeper. I also foolishly sold a dual mono 46 SET he built for me. Thanks for the suggestions. I had a LFD years ago and do remember it was super close to tubes and may need to relook at it. Similarly was ...
Meitner MA3 amp/integrated suggestions @blisshifi thanks for the response. Oh man. My virtual system is 20yrs old. Needs updating 😂 yes I’m using Daedalus 97db speakers in a 13.5’x12.5’ room. So somewhat near field intimate setup. Dedicated room. Yeah I’m not looking to meet or exceed...

Network Acoustics Muon ethernet filtering system - Improving streaming sound quality Got my eno on Friday.. just basic listening so far and it is at least >= the ER, but the bonus no matter what is it's passive, no power and doesn't get hot like the ER where you can make toast on it. 192 khz/24 bit Albums on Qobuz @rdk777 the only way you get a 16/44 CD quality stream will “show” playing as 24/192 is because you are upsampling it in Lumin app. I was responding to the comment that you “can only show/play 24/192 albums in qobuz” but right. Whatever the q...
192 khz/24 bit Albums on Qobuz @liam2 @rdk777 fyi. That setting in Qobuz is for choosing the “up to” quality on the network (mobile vs wifi). It won’t play everything or only play 24/192. It will allow those files to be played if they are available.

Pro-Ject CD Box DS2T vs Audiolab 6000CDT Did I mention this thing is TINY
Pro-Ject CD Box DS2T vs Audiolab 6000CDT I picked up a DS2T and first impressions are very positive. Sounds better than my older cd player, rotel rcd-1570 (wasn’t dedicated transport). Using a Kimber D60 cable. still curious if an LPS helps on this guy. It’s 9v 2a
Upgrade from Kimber D60 Digital Coax cable thanks for the responses. @rodman99999 interestingly I had the Orchid AES but then sold the player I had that used aes so I sold that cable. @jayctoy ive seen that name floating around a lot during my searches. Will take a look further
what’s a song cover that you think is better than the original? What a great thread.... I'll add some obscure alternative ones... Bizarre Love Triangle - Frente (New Order) Pure Imagination - Smoking Popes (Willy Wonka) Toxic - Local H (Brittany Spears) True - Duvall (Spandau Ballet)
STREAMING - QOBUZ VS TIDAL AND ROON'S PREFERENCES In it's simplest form, whether MQA is trying to do a good thing or not, is the fact they are basically DRM's music in a way, creating a proprietary format that requires manufacturers (and ultimately you) to pay them to use it. No thanks @fastfre...
STREAMING - QOBUZ VS TIDAL AND ROON'S PREFERENCES @moonwatcher Yes Qobuz supports bit-perfect. and it's high-res files 24/192 are lossless. as opposed to MQA lossy snake oil Now the can of worms is how do we know the 24/192 version is not a resampled 16/44 file, etc. the industry as a whole lea...
Point of diminishing returns for a Network Streamers? @rman9 that is correct. |
