sony tts 3000a tonearm setup question
You need to tell us what arm this is. The top Sony arms of that era were the PUA-237 and PUA-286 and they are fairly complex to set up. You can google those names and see if that's what you have. If so, I have the user's manual for them.Kal
New Revel Salon's being Introduced In 2006
"Pictures have been posted at Stereophile blogs and Sounstage website. I'm kind of disappointed. From the aesthetics point of view, I prefer the original design a lot more."I fully agree but the performance of the Salon2 easily made up for it. Bes...

I am skeptical.Kal
Do I need power conditioning for my new plasma?
No more nor any less than you need for your other components. A good whole-house surge protector is important for any house. For video displays, you should also consider a local surge protector as well as surge protection on any video input signal ...

Digital Cable Music Choice
I prefer to use the digital output so that it can be converted by a decent DAC. Cannot comment on choice of cable.Kal

Quality 5.1 receiver needed

Quality 5.1 receiver needed
You can keep it all. Just feed the line-level outputs for the main L/R channels from the receiver through a bypass input on the preamp.Kal
Why is 2 Channel better than multi-channel?
Yes, exactly. Running Redbook through a processor is highly variable as there are many different processors, only some of which permit user intervention. In fact, I don't really consider that multichannel (well, it is multichannel output but the i...
Why is 2 Channel better than multi-channel?
" The reason I ask is it seems to me in a multi-channel environment regardless of what the source is sending it, the processor algorithms are what decides what goes to each speaker." Only with synthesized or matrixed materials. With discrete sourc...
Conrad Johnson MET 1 6 channel Analogue help
This is not a processor of any sort. It is an entirely analog 6 channel preamp. Any processing, except for channel levelling, must be done externally.Kal
PS Audio Noise Harvester
There are two long(!) threads about these on AVSforum.Kal
