Best used preamp processor
If you are not using HDMI for audio, you will need a prepro that can do bass/channel management with the analog inputs. Not the way I would go but.....................Kal
biwire w/just one amp output?
Even with A+B outputs, they would be sharing the same output stage. It is a stereo amp and has only 2 amp channels. In any case, no need for it but you can try it if you are curious and decide for yourself.Kal

Are You running Sonic Frontiers Power 3 amps
I loved them with Apogee Duettas. In fact, it was a SF demo that sold me on Apogees.Kal
Best used preamp processor
The big issue is whether the OP needs HDMI input/processing for audio, an important feature and neither of the suggested ones will do that, afaik.Kal

AV Processor and Blu Ray Question
In general, it is either/or. Decode in player or decode in processor. The only issue is whether the processor can do any of its post-processing, such as bass/channel management, with the analog connection. I do not know whether the AVM30 can or no...
Crossovers, why so few options?

Crossovers, why so few options?
Well, this little pond is not representative of the audio world at large. Consequently, the volume demand for this type of product is limited. Some reasonable suggestions have been made. The SMS-1 is one but it is limited to only 80Hz for HP. Cons...
Crossovers, why so few options?
??? Why didn't you say so??!! That's an easy one.The reason is that such are built into most subs and into all preamp/processors. The need for an external crossover is quite limited today. Kal
Crossovers, why so few options?
The problem is that no "off-the-shelf" active crossover is really suitable for any serious loudspeaker. The crossover must be customized to the the specific speaker system in order to account for amplitude/phase issues in and out of each driver's ...
Crossovers, why so few options?
Because so few people need one. Almost all speakers have entirely adequate crossovers built into them and these incorporate custom features that tailor them for their specific drivers and enclosure(s). Kal

Room correcting subwoofer for music?
You can add room correction to any sub by using products such as the AntiMode 8033, Velodyne SMS-1, SVS AS-EQ1, etc. You can also buy a sub with it built in, such as those offered by Velodyne or Paradigm (with their PerfectBass kits).Kal
