Avantgarde Duo upgrades
You might try to ask Verybigamp a.k.a. Romy the Cat!
Stereophile confirms new gear is getting worse....
Ultraviolet you got it right on! Even if they DID frequent the live events, out of their posts is indication that they CANNOT hear. Most likely, as you stated yourself, their ears have been trained by poorly set-up HiFi.

Correct bass? Real live bass is loud and forceful, not tight and tuneful. Orchestral bass sections sound big and fat in real life! Trelja, you might even have a good thing and you do not even know it.
Help, is it clipping? or cables? or...feedback.
I do not think speakers are too much for 70/70. 6ohm and 91dB, is very easy load. Check your tubes in your amp.
Best speaker value
If room permits i would also recommend Maggies 1.6. If not i heard nice speakers today called Opera Super Pavaroti. Beautiful craftsmanship and whatta sound for merely 2K!
Wilson or Kharma
Neither! Your speakers are better than W/P or Kharma. You will be regressing if you are to switch to either dynamic speakers. W/P are as demanding speakers with unquenchable thirst for power. Maybe Revel Salon, but only if you must!
Any Levinson owners/critics out there?
If you like muddy undefined sound, of the amp that tries to mimik the tube sound. Sorry but that was my impression of ML house sound. You are better of with Plinius, McCormack, SimAudio MOON and Odyssey amps.
Recommendations to drive Dynaudio Special 25
Also consider Plinius 100MkIII, Dynaudios love lots of current.
Best preamp under $10K for Plinius SA-250/IV?
Sugden Masterclass Pre-amp.
What are the most under-appreciated products?
Sugden gear, especially their Masterclass Pre-amp.
Calix speakers - anyone heard them?
"The address above is an okay review." OK review? Why is it class than in "A" in recommended components list?

CLAMPS: Considering wise-ass remarks on your previous answers, i would suggest you to continue buying what Stereophile tells you to!
integrated amp that matches well w/ Soliloquy 5.3s
Chukie, it is strange that you do not mention what amp you've been using so far?? Also, Soliloquy's overall presentation is usualy on the "warm" side, due to the plump midbass. Unless you are using mass-market receiver, i believe lively room would...
Feedback/Ideas for New Magazine?
Plato good luck getting any $ out of these folks on Audiogon. Average "white collar" + "audiophile" is a cheap, cheap, cheap kind of creature. Unless, off course something is there for them...! Cheers!
Review: Pass Labs Aleph 3 Amplifier
Wonderful goods in small packages for sure! Never had enough sensitive speakers to actually try them in my home, but might in the future with X or XA version, who knows! Listen them at friends house on 4ohm Cabasse and they were atrociously good! ...
