Entry level Phono Stage for Dynavector 10x5
Still a match made in heaven Darkstar even if you're not taking advantage of the phono enhancer. I owned the combo (P-75/10X5) for a few years with great results until I got a hold on a NOS 10XGold L. Extremely dynamic as Lohanimal expressed. Also...
Entry level Phono Stage for Dynavector 10x5
Dynavector P-75 or P-75 MKII. Match made in heaven and a no brainier for about $400.00 in the used market.
Which of these 4 Phono Pre you'dl choose?
Pro-ject Phono Box RS Reference for $999.00 will give all listed a run for their money. It's a more than capable phono pre with almost infinite options.
Best value in a HO movig magnet $150-$200
Ortofon 2M Red at 5.5 mV for $100.00 is all you need. You will be hard pressed to find a better HO MM cart under $200.00 than this one. Go for it and save the extra $$$.

RP3 in a heartbeat Wildoats,There is little upgradeable path with the RP1. However, there is almost infinite upgradeable path with the RP3. The RP3 is (IMHO) in a league of its own. Fast, detailed, superb dynamics, taut bass, with uncanny PRaT!The...

Upgrade from Rega P5
RP8 is a big time leap forward from the P5. No doubt Rega's biggest bang for the buck right now. $3,000.00 would do it, Spend the extra $$$ on a Lyra Delos and you will have a state of the art Rega TT for about $4,650.00.

upgrade advice from a Linn LP12
You should be able to get decent money for your vintage LP12 provided its in pristine conditions. Having the original box/papers/etc really helps kick the price up a notch. Before you do anything, visit your local dealer and try other TTs. Who kno...
Is $3000 pushing the limits for a geat monitor??
I have not heard a better pair of speakers than the unassuming Spiral Groove Canalis Anima for $3,250.I don't own them so there is no bias here...but they are certainly on my "dream' list.
upgrade advice from a Linn LP12
Linn upgrades may be one way to go but they are quite expensive. To my ears, the Townshend Audio Rock 7/RB202/Lyra Delos sounded MUCH better than the stock Linn Majik LP12 for about the same price. You will need to double the cost to get it to Lin...
